Well in Leon.He gets a lot of stick from some Blues but give him time on the ball and quality round him and he often shines. He's ( mostly ) played well this season and I hope the lad from Billinge, Woolshire gets on the pitch.

When he's behind the striker he can be a very good player. I find it strange because I don't think his performances at CM this season have been all that, but I suppose this is the cap he's deserved for a few years so good for him.

Just goes to show how much the media influence decisions. Like others have said he should have been called up years ago, But now this season with the media praising our start and style he gets the call up

And a bit of credit to Cahill, who, by agreeing to move on, freed up a central midfield space with Fellaini moving forward to his spot. If Cahill stayed, he may well still have played on and off meaning Ossie probably wouldn't have had this consistent run in this settled central position that has seen his performances improve. He has always been able to do a job out wide if needed, but centrally is where he is best and hopefully he'll now get a chance to get on the pitch for his country.

Finally, some recognition for the creative skill most evident this year. Not sure he would have got in the squad 5 years ago if Hodgson had been around but you can never get a cap too late in my opinion. Hope he does get a showing and it gives him the confidence to play that little bit better for the blues.
