Hardly a central midfielder in sight. I think he's in with a real chance of making his debut alongside Gerrard in midfield. I'm getting excited just typing it. Well in Leon.

It is a few years too late but that just shows how pathetically weak England are in central midfield. Made up for him though,hope he gets on even if for a minute or two. Many worse players have been capped

As do I. Even more so now. He's proved me wrong about making the same old mistakes of old. Calling up Osman shows he is about ability as much as 'promise', even if the latter can be dressed up as typical club favouritism (Spurs & Liverpool always first port of England manager's call)
