I reckon, as others have said, he's a Mirallas replacement. It's clear that Ron wants to sell Kev, it just never transpired before the window closed.

He's arrived to a decent amount of fanfare from the club, so maybe the intention is that he'll be in the side regularly. Seems a good player and a good lad, and from a sporting background all things considered.
