He did come on to do Anichebe's defensive leg work, and did it, but that doesn't mean he wasn't poor.

Running round doesn't constitute a good performance. Moyes wouldn't have told him to do JUST that.
I'm sure Moyes said 'right Jela, get on and do this and that, put a shift in, pressurise their centre backs and stop them playing out of defense' or something similar but I doubt he followed it up with 'and lose the ball every time you get it'.

No I don't think he did, Anichebe did a lot more defensive work (or at least did it better) than Jelavic.
Jelavic just kind of ran around and flopped over a few times.

I love the way people on here turn on players so easily and just scapegoat certain ones.
Barkley plays crap but because people have been calling for him to play everyone's looking at his positives which there was sod all off. I mean he couldn't even header the ball back to jags.
But because jelly has had a bad season people are starting to loss patience with him and making him a scapegoat out of him so even when he puts a shift in he still gets the blame, kinda like Neville in that respect.
I think it just gose to show you during the game who watches the ball and who watches the match.
But I think it's just another case of Fatal seconds season syndrome next season he'll be fighting fit am sure.

love his attitude but really hope we get shot in the summer a lack of a good ST has ruined us this season IMO would snap some soft ****e side like sunderlands hands off if they offered £7-8 mil for him and use that to bring in a quality forward Negredo or Remy for me.
