I think Azzurri's better than him.

I really am desperate for Jelavic to get back amongst the goals but I'm losing faith. Even against League One opposition he looked like a pudding.

The Fellaini argument makes sense to me though. He doesn't move defenders around and open up space for the striker like Cahill did, which could explain why Jelavic has looked exhausted for months. Get Fellaini back into midfield and take away the easy option of launching balls forward for him to bring down and lay-off. There needs to be more variety in attack.

I'd love to see Everton bring in a proper playmaker who'll float between midfield and attack. Jelavic would thrive off playing in front of someone with an eye for a killer pass. I can't go on watching him try and get on the end of hopeful balls over the top much longer. It's like watching a hippo trying to to escape from a pack of lions.

Agree

Jelavic's biggest problem is that he's soft. Defenders constantly bully him and he crumples like paper. He's got no heart, no backbone and no balls.

He needs to toughen up. He's 6 foot plus for Gods sake.

Oh adn he's ALWAYS offside. Every.....single........time

Right now, if it's him or Victor I choose Victor without a second thought

Its all about confidence, and he's lacking it. Last season he was taking things in his stride, his touch was deadly and so was his finishing; do people actually think:
A) He's just gone sh!t over night, you don't loose that ability
or
B) Moyes as somehow coached this out of him; they've spent hours on the training pitching making Jelavic a worse player??

Last night, again, was a perfect example of striker struggling with confidence, it doesn't just affect his finishing, it affects everything about his game, such a controlling a ball

I'm fearing he's just actually crap.

I don't like saying it. But i'm not sure how many teams he'd get in playing like this.

Not many, but he's not crap, far from it. Look at last season, his touch was amazing and everytime he was in the box it was one touch and in. Its confidence, and its affecting his entire time on the pitch; players do not loose skill and they certainly cannot fake looking good for 6 months

If we'd bought/loaned a striker in January he'd have been benched for more than one or two games by now. It's a nonsense to keep on playig him. If you were the kid Velios you'd be booting Moyes' door down and having a word.

He was great last season. No doubt about it.

But he isn't right now. What's the point in playing him at the minute? Is it blind faith that he might get good again? That could take forever!
