Nikica Jelavic

I really am desperate for Jelavic to get back amongst the goals but I'm losing faith. Even against League One opposition he looked like a pudding.

The Fellaini argument makes sense to me though. He doesn't move defenders around and open up space for the striker like Cahill did, which could explain why Jelavic has looked exhausted for months. Get Fellaini back into midfield and take away the easy option of launching balls forward for him to bring down and lay-off. There needs to be more variety in attack.

I'd love to see Everton bring in a proper playmaker who'll float between midfield and attack. Jelavic would thrive off playing in front of someone with an eye for a killer pass. I can't go on watching him try and get on the end of hopeful balls over the top much longer. It's like watching a hippo trying to to escape from a pack of lions.

Spot on can't highlight this enough.

He's not particularly good at football anyway, so if he's not scoring you can see how his confidence would take a dip and he'd start scrabbling around trying to control the ball instead of just doing everything first time. It's a shame he's not blessed physically really, he doesn't have anything at all to fall back on when he's struggling for form.

What would do with him BrOwnie. If you was the manager mate. What would you do? Exactly?

Would have sold him in the summer to get some money.

As for now, if he has to be in the team, I'd probably play Anichebe and Mirallas up front, ask Victor to be a bruiser and crush the defence and hope Kevin can skin everyone to get to the byline so Jelavic can sidefoot in a pullback as it's the only way he can score a goal. Either that or have him on the bench to come on and do some kind of unusual unintended bit of skill that results in a winning goal in a tight game.

:P mate.

I don;t think he's actually been that bad. His finishing aside he has brought others into the game well and has been running afair bit. did want to see him claim that goal that Osman had just so as he'd gain a bit of confidence.

Almost won a pen, and nearly scored.

Good enough for Moyes, needs goals though.

Reliance on baines is getting beyond a joke

Was surprised to see Baines take the pen ahead of him to be honest. thought he'd step up, Shame it was only 1-0 at the time.
