I dont buy the 'Jelavic is stifled by a target man' stuff.. Replace the name Fellaini with Cahiil and that's how we rolled last season. It's not having a target man alongside him that's hindering him (though perhaps where Cahill got a flick on and released straight away, Felli controls and holds on a bit more and Jelavic's 'moment' has gone).

Bottom line though is he IS fluffing chances.

I suppose in theory it should bring our CM midfield into play. I'm a bit surprised Gibson hasn't been getting too many shots off in his time here. Maybe his legs dont get him there carrying knocks etc?

You should buy it, because its true. The amount of times he scored from ball played into feet in the box last year was unreal. This year he's getting about one tenth of that.

This year he's running the channels and last year he wasn't. That's pretty vital, regardless of who's playing behind him.

Me too, a lot of teams end up really deep against us to stop our fullbacks getting in. Ideal set up for someone who can shoot from distance.
