Nikica Jelavic

he His running offside is annoying me to be honest, he does it all the time now which need to stop. He also need to stop playing on the wings as well.
When he first came he would be shouting at his players now he does none of this either. This is not all his fault tho as other players such as Pienaar, Baines also need to find him in the box where he best at.

Jelavic will return to his former glory and reignite our season, making us unstoppable like in August-October once again. Whether that's enough to get where we want is another thing. We've already given ourselves too much to do imo.

Have a look at the goal Victor scored at West Ham.

The ball is sailing into the net and Jelavic, miles offside, tries to head it in.

Luckily he didn't connect with it otherwise the goal would have been flagged by the linesman.

He displays very little positional awareness in my view.

Jelavic isn't one of those playing "on the shoulder" type of strikers.....he hasn't the pace for that.

As we know from the days when he looked good, he needs the ball played in just in front of him so he could cock the trigger and fire the gun all in one movement.

Which is the real

The one whom scored for fun last season or the one whom has struggled most of this season?

I'd love to think it's the former but I am having severe doubts about him.

The real on form Jelavic is the goalscorer. His record in Scotland was fantastic. Just because there's less quality there doesn't mean his goal scoring there should be wrote off.

I still maintain Fellaini being up top is affecting his game.

He's not the first player to have a bad season after going to a major championship.

It's easy for strikers to kid themselves they contribute when they run their bullocks off, close down, challenge for every header and all that. With a man like Moyes you probably even get praise for it.

After 80odd minutes of running yourself into the ground closing a back four down on your own, when you need to get a yard on a defender to get in, or even just a solid connection on a shot it's less like to happen the more fatigue you suffer from. It's an undeniable fact that fatigue affects motor function. This is having an effect in a season where he's had less rest than half our side. If Moyes genuinely feels he's our main man he should tell him to play only in the box and focus on scoring.

The fact is your striker should always be your main goal threat unless you have an exceptional talent like Bale,Ronaldo etc. behind them. Moyes has never made our strikers our main goal threat. We've never had a player capable of excusing that either. Cahill, Felli and anybody else who's played no.10 are 10-12 goal players on average.

I'd prefer us to change our approach before we change the player.

Yer he done really well when Fellaini was banned for 3 games

He was very unlucky against Chelsea. Not to score 2 in the first 25 minutes ( free kick hit post, header that Cech saved). He also hit the bar seconded half with a lovely header. He missed an Absolute Sitter at West Ham and can't remember the other team. But what this all tells me is.... He was getting a lot more chances!!!

Who would pay that given his current form

I dont know mate. In a world where Steven Fletcher goes for £14M and Andy Carroll for £35M I think we'd get a buyer. If Moyes stayed it wouldn't surprise me to see him move Jelavic on in the summer. He can be very decisive over striker ins and outs - as Beckford found out.

Hopefully there'll be no need and he starts hitting form again.

There's is absolutely no way Moyes or any other manager would sell Jelavic in the summer unless someone made a ridiculous bid.
