I love how it's always Moyes tactics that "ruin" strikers other than it ever being down to the player struggling for form or just generally not being good enough.

I look at the centre forwards we've had at our disposal under his tenure and think who should we have got more from. Let's be honest, no one's gone away somewhere and flourished under a different system to prove it was Moyes using them incorrectly. It seems the barometer for success with a striker is if they're hitting 20 goals a season, which is grossly unfair considering how few players (they cost real money) do that on a consistent basis.

People can search for excuses all they want where Jelavic is concerned but the fact is he's having a poor season by the standards he set last time around. For all the talk people give about him "running the channels" I don't see it myself. Most of our attacks are predominantly down the left side and I barely see him out there linking up with Baines and Pienaar when he should be in the box.

For people to think Moyes would persist with a tactic that is obviously affecting his top striker's game is just ridiculous. He'll be as desperate as anyone for Jelavic to rediscover last season's form.

I remember reading an interview with michael owen where he said he had gone a few games without scoring because keegan was getting him to run around all over the place. At the end of the games keegan was giving him a bollocking for not scoring. Owen said he thought fook this I'll just ignore his instructions & play my own game. He started scoring again & keegan started to tell him he had started to understand what he'd been coaching him.

In short. Ignore Davie's defensive nonsense & just slot the fook out of norwich please Jela.
