Which is as cheap as they come because he's unproven but it's still more than we can usually spend on a player. For that price moyes brought in arteta and pienaar. Both skillful but lacking in pace.

my opinion : Jelavic is not an out and out striker - they create most of their own chances - but he will feed very well off one - him floating around the box and picking up| poaching the scraps which fly around when a true striker feeds -
therefore with what we have, we should play him with Anichebe\Velios -

We've pretty much had the lone striker role for years now, all with strikers who don't really play that way.
Jelavic would be much better with another striker, or even play Mirallas just behind him, only problem is then we'd have nobody on the right again.

Yeah I remember, scratching my head then why he didn't go for one of those other boss strikers that were available for 5m last Jan.
