Nikica Jelavic

Look at Torres. That is a striker badly out of form, lost his mojo. Misses chances, 1v1's and all sorts.

Jelavic hasn't even been getting chances, to say he's been getting proper chances is a lie, because he's had no service at all

The Guardian:

"There was a clear indication of the tension afflicting Everton when the usually mild-mannered Leighton Baines went out of his way to berate Nikica Jelavic for his tame efforts against Norwich City on Saturday. With five goals this season, the Croatia international cannot be said to be suffering "second season syndrome" in the Premier League but his influence and impact on recent games has been minimal. He is not entirely to blame for that. Much of Everton's creativity and balance is provided by Steven Pienaar, who is struggling for form, and the midfield has been frequently disrupted by injury.

David Moyes admitted: "Baines did go over to speak to Jelavic and we are looking for more from him at the moment, because we are a bit short. He's looking to try to find a bit of form and we could look to get him better service. He likes crosses and passes into the box for him to feed on, and we haven't really given that sort of service for a few games now."

Good lad, Bainsey.

Laughing at Moyes. Wants more service for the Croatian then drops a FB who's provided service for him.

Ginger logic.

I thought I'd imagined seeing that when nobody else seemed to mention it.

Mentioned in a thread before the weekend I hope I'm wrong but I'm concerned there are other issues impacting on his performances. I do think & hope though a goal against Arsenal could be what's needed to get things back on track.

When he got here he was getting balls coming in low from both wings. He hit them first time, usually from in or around the six yard box and even those that didn't go in were usually on target. I'm not seeing that kind of service now. He sometimes looks like the kid in the playground who no one passes to.

Very worrying what you posted last week, mate. His uncles a bit of a meddler as I recall?

I bet it wont have gone down too well with players who've been there years.

You seriously think Moyes was that pissed off with Coleman he dropped him out of the squad completely?

I do mate, yes. He's currently on the naughty step a few of our players have sat on down the years. I dont think anyone's even established what 'the injury' to Coleman actually is.

What's all this then?

NIKICA JELAVIC could hand in a transferrequest and leave Everton after his extraordinary row with new boy Kevin Mirallas.
The Croatian striker reportedly lambasted Mirallas for being selfish during the Merseyside derby against Liverpool last month.

Jelavic has clashed with Mirallas before, and with relations having soured between the two, it is understood he wants to leave Goodison Park.

Arsene Wenger had been tenuously linked with Jelavic before his move from Rangers toEverton, but he looks poised to revive his interest in January.

Arsenal need to freshen things up front, and while Olivier Giroud is in a bit of a purple patch, Jelavic is a proven goalscorer.

The drab goalless draw against Aston Villa was a point in proof for Wenger.
