Nikica Jelavic

Some jarg twitter rumour account is trying to run with a story that Jelavic is to demand a move after falling out with Mirallas who he labelled greedy after the derby.

You've got to wonder sometimes if some of these stories are written by "the family guy writer manatees" off of South Park

I don't know what's worse, the made up stories or the fact that some lad who uses exclamation points after every sentence will make a thread out of it.

Who would you get in lads! Like the look of Falcao meself!

Not too sure Falcao runs the channels though, what's Marcus Bent up to these days?

Falcao wouldnt score if he wasnt getting the ball either.

Give him service, he slots, dont give him service, he wont slot.

As others have said, how many chances has he missed in the last month?

Jelavic has been gash for about 6 weeks now, yes he scored against Sunderland but even in that game his performance was poor. We need to persevere with him though as he's all we have in that position of his finishing ability i'm afraid.

Anymore of his current form he needs dropping. I can understand ginge holding out for a turn in form because of his form for a half a season in the last campaign, but a manager has to start showing some authority. If Mirallas was back to health and Jelavic is still misfiring I'd put him up there and have Osman playing off him.

YOU NEED DROPPING DAVE LAD.

Hes a boss slotter, give him something to slot FFS.

Hes gonna get 12 on Wednesday lad.

Nobody should be above being dropped if you want players hungry and at the top of thier game. Moyes will never do that like as we've seen a million times over, so it's not worth thinking about.

Jellavic has had enough chances - he bottled some spectacularly - like the one on Saturday which missed the net by so much that some players claimed a deflection - in another game he nearly broke the toes of his non-striking foot with the ball bouncing over the net - he is firing blanks at the moment - Anichebe has scored in both games that he played for a reasonable time - he cant be worse - Jella creates nothing for himself - he wants everything on a plate ......

I don't think his performances have been that terrible, Norwich and Reading aside, which were, in fairness.

He's been working really hard for the most part, he's just not been getting any service and has been going looking for the ball. He needs to be in the box to slot, not working the f***ing channels.

I'd give him a bit more time and see how it goes, if not then it's surely worth giving Mirallas a go up front, I think him and Fellaini could link up well through the middle. Hope it doesn't come to that as Mirallas has looked great on the wing and I think Jelavic will come good.

He's lost his mojo.

It's why some of us were cautious about conferring 'best Everton player of all time' status on him after half a season of great finishing. We got slaughtered for it at the time. It's why it's always best to reserve judgement for a couple of seasons. Young Brennan might want to ponder that.

Hopefully he starts slamming them in again and we can all settle down. If he gets 15 in the PL this season I'll be pleasantly surprised.

You gotta admit tho Dave, hes just not getting chances, of course his head is gonna drop, up untill Saturday I was pleased with his attitude and his work rate, but as I say, he looked a bit different Sat.

I dont think Moyes comments the other week have helped him, when he named him by name as a reason for our lack of finishing teams off.

I go back to my intial comment, hes not getting anything to work with, at all and teams are able to stick a big lump on him and shut him down.

Personally, I have concerns about his attitude on Saturday, but only minor, I would be concerned more if he was miss firing, but I just dont think he is, im not saying everything is rainbows and unicorns, but if you feed the Jelly, he will score, wait, thats not right, surely?
