Unproven youngster who has done decent every time given the chance.

Going by what you say Ross Barkley doesnt deserve a shot either then, you would still have Cahill plodding behind with that logic as well.

People have to be given chances and if they cant get a shot when a player is out of form, when do they get to prove it??

He scored a couple of headed goals, can't take that away from him. Now your comparing him to Barkley, who is widely regarded in the football world as a talent, who is 3years younger than vellios and has just proved himself in the championship christ mate come on let's talk football not nonsense.

I can see why your sig says 'not even arsed' cos blatantly you aren't

By your logic he doesn't deserve a shot because he hasn't proven himself at this level.

Moyes looks like he agree's as well.

If it was me they would of both had atleast 30 mins saturday because we were woeful.

He doesn't deserve a shot because he hasn't proved himself at ANY level, it's not like he's slotting for the reserves and breaking records is it. Get real mate, if you honestly think vellios is deserving of a place in our team that is supposedly challenging for top 4 then i honestly despair.

How can he prove himself if he doesn't get a game?

He couldn't have performed worse than Jelavic did yesterday, I'd of given him 30 minutes as well, not 30 seconds at the end.

And if being dropped where to encourage Jelavic to buck his ideas up and push him on to score 20? It's not just about whether Vellios should be given a chance, but also how to get Jelavic back into form, whether he gets service or not.
Trying to get a player to play through a bad patch hasn't worked for us previously, c.f. Saha, it's not going to work now.

Vellios can't link up much worse with Fellaini than Jelavic is at the moment, it's just not working between them atm.

by this logic anyone can play up front, [Poor language removed] me anybody with half a brain who watches football can tell Vellios isn't good enough. We haver had so many sh*t strikers over the years and some of them were a hell of a lot better than Vellios at reserve level.

You can't put players in at prem level and hope for the best

I think Jelavic was a little half a season wonder.
So do the majority of the Evertonians now, I seen someone shout 'If you dont wanna play for everton, **** off'

hes right.

If mirallas or vic were fit i'd possibly swap them as it stands i'd rather have naismith up front but i'd honestly stick with Jelavic till he comes right. Saha was injury prone you couldn't rely on him.

We played Saha more than enough games in a row last season, he didn't once get into form, he had the quality but just wasn't able to. I fail to see why it would be different for Jelavic.
On Naismith, I think he plays better coming from deep more like Cahill than an out and out forward in his own right.

I think Jelavic will come right eventually, but it'll happen quicker if he sits out a few games and gets his fitness levels and his sharpness back up to its peak levels.

Naismiths best position is behind the striker.
