How do you know this?

Has Vellios got a touch like an elephant as well?

I don't know has he, most times he get's the ball he normally heads it or swings wildly with a boot. Listen if he comes good i'l stand corrected but vellios is not good enough.

Just askin, how do you know he hasn't?

Ok lets stick with an out of form striker rather than an unproven youngster who is hungry as hell right now.

Good logic mate.

and who is going to win all these glorious headed opportunities out of them options mate, really have a word with yourself.

We were having thsi exact same conversation about saha and cahill last year, sick of us sticking with off form players in the hope they come good.

Jelavic has been poor in the build up, poor in getting on the end of passe (see the four or five times naismith completely misjudged where he was), poor in making spaces for himself and making the chances all our other attacking players are getting onto. And poor at slotting free headers. It's just not working, right now.

I'm saying that's how we're playing, we get the ball out wide, so our chances come from either headers or midfielders rushing in and getting onto lay offs.

Changing our style so it suits Jelavic requires the other ten players to play differently, changing the striker to suit our style seems easier.

Yes but it's not working is it, so how about the rest of the team try playing to the guy who can score goals strengths not just hopeful punts and wish for the best?

Lads, I think Vellios deserves his chances. Maybe 15/20 mins from the end if Jelavic not playing well. If he makes an impact or even score then great (say, for a few matches). From that point, we could then consider if Vellios is good enough to lead the line.

Good logic mate.

It is good logic when said striker will more than likely score more goals out of form than his replacement. Unproven youngster that hasn't earned any kind of reputation to deserve said shot. Please, i'd rather bring back brett f*ckin angell than vellios

I give up, a striker who has still scored 5 in 13 woefully out of form, our best finisher in donkeys years should be dropped cos he's not slotting every game. I wonder sometimes what goes on in fans heads not like we have van Persie on the bench is it.

Unproven youngster who has done decent every time given the chance.

Going by what you say Ross Barkley doesnt deserve a shot either then, you would still have Cahill plodding behind with that logic as well.

People have to be given chances and if they cant get a shot when a player is out of form, when do they get to prove it??
