Everyone needs to chillll the **** out. He'll get scoring again, no worry about that.
Big thing is that we aren't exactly relying on him to score for us as without him slotting we've got others that are, mainly Fellaini. How boss was he again today? Back onto Jelavic though, he'll get a brace next week and we'll all be calm again, no need to worry

Yeah I don't even think that's our problem. Our problem is letting in sh*t goals at really sh*t times. We're scoring a decent amount, although our conversion rates are poor.

Yes that's what I meant

A goal every other game though is the point I'm getting at -- that's what strikers aim for isn't it?

Haha yes mate, I'm not worried about him really, he's our centre forward marked by 2 centre backs a lot of the time, we're pressing forward as a team with our passing game, this closes the space down for him to work in. Ironically if we sat back and played a more aerial game I reckon he'd score more goals.

FFS MOIST JUST PLAY LIKE STEVIE TOLD US TO!

We've got the 4th best goals scored record in the league at the moment and we've not tonked anyone, so we're scoring good amounts in most games. I'm not too worried about us not scoring. Our goals against is the joint 8th best which is a bit less impressive and our 2 clean sheets show that whilst we're also not getting tonked, we're conceding a good amount in most games... I'd say that's the issue.

Conceding early is becoming a habit, and that has us chasing games. And then when we're in the lead it seems we've developed an unusual habit of surrendering that lead. It's a reverse Everton this year, and it's confusing me greatly!

Yeah, agree totally.
Training for us atm should really be finishing chances and being more composed, but also cutting out them stupid mistakes.
How many of the goals have we conceded this season that could've easily been prevented? I think the majority of them could have been tbh

You're not the only one mate! But it's a happy conundrum for me. Ain't it nice to be frustrated at not scoring more than 2 goals and only losing once all year? And this time last year we didn't have anyone close to scoring 4 goals for us did we?

We seem to be switching off and lacking the concentration level that was a staple of the usual well-drilled Everton defence.

It's a strange one because we're normally so tight and class at the back(08/09 was our best imo)
need to sort it really, if heitinga wants to go though we should really cash in on him in january, jags is looking class and distin can play more than just another season, a good young centre half in january and heitinga out would suit me, duffy's good back up atm as well

Aye. Although I really couldn't care less about the positions in the table at the moment. You look at the positions at the end -- this early on it's about the points. The points difference between 3rd and 4th is the same between 4th and 11th! And that's why I was pretty gutted with today's result. One loss and we could plummet down the table, and that would change the optimism levels quite swiftly.

I would've expected a hat trick from him today with the great service from the flanks. I think he is still playing great it's just his finishing has been poor the last few matches. His overall game is fine though.

I mentally want a point for every away game and three points for every home game and going by that we've dropped 4 at home and gained 3 away so we're a point behind where we should be.

Got to disagree. His movement and first touch have been really pretty Henderson of late.

I don't think the way we're playing at the moment suits him at all. His movement is still creating space for us, which is obviously benefiting people like Fellaini, but in terms of scoring goals it's not really his style. He likes to drag people out of position and score from early balls or crosses that take advantage of that, but in the last few games we could have done with someone who's good at getting it into feet on the edge of the area and making clever little touches or shooting on the turn. It's similar to Torres at Chelsea, if either team had RVP in their place he'd score a hat trick every game.
