Nikica Jelavic

I didn't want to get carried away and assume he'd pick up where he left off but whatever happens goal-wise this year, I'm now utterly convinced Jelavic is a complete, top drawer CF.

His movement has been great the past few games and he has so many strings to his bow. On top of that he slots with consummate ease and it seems like he loves it here too.

What a ridiculously good signing.

Completely agree with this. Couple of things any one who can score that many goals with one touch is going to score goals at any level. His movement is great, I particularly like how he pulls off the defender and actually drops back to create space. A defender's natural reaction is to carry his run on towards goal meanwhile Jelavic has dropped back, got himself into space and then bang - goal! When Baines raced into final third today he was looking to pull the ball back as he knew were Jelavic would be.
Just pray he stays fit this season and who knows how many he can score!

His eyes light up when he sees a chance coming his way. He physically looks excited at the prospect of putting the ball in the net, and his movement in the box proves it. Easily the best STRIKER we've had since Graeme Sharp.

If he carries on like this he'll be one of the best strikers in the league, there's not much he can't do and I'd have a hard time not calling him a complete striker. He can pass, hold the ball up, head, has good movement, he can consistently slot it first time, he can score goals with both feet and most important of all, he puts it in the back of the net like it's going out of style. He's the best striker I've seen play for us and hopefully he'll be our no. 9 (well, no. 7) for years to come.

^^yep best striker Ive seen at Everton

And how similar were RVP and Jelavic's goals yesterday?? Ok RVP was a little bit harder... but damn same movement... one cost 30m pounds the other 5m....

If he had pace he'd be a £40m player.

That's the only thing he really doesn't have.
