Nikica Jelavic on the bench against Newcastle? You mad?

There was a defining moment for me against Wigan for me. The ball is played up, and Jelavic took a step towards the ball and then turned away, whilst the ball was still in mid-air, allowing the Wigan player to win the ball unchallenged.

I was fuming. That's the sort of thing that happens when you have no legitimate competition for your shirt.

I don't think calls for him to be dropped are that outrageous. He's lost his confidence and it's costing us points. His overall game isn't good enough to justify 1 goal in his last 9. There were signs of improvement today but hitting the post is still missing the target.

It's not a case of giving up on Jelavic, no one is saying we should sell him. Taking the pressure off him for a bit could be what he needs. Vellios looked excellent when he came on and Naismith is an option up there as well.

He's our only striker with what you could describe has 'an overall game'. Vic and Vellios can do a job, and Vic is definetly getting better at it overall, but they would need more game time to be viable alternatives which in turn might cost as points in the interim as there's nothing much wrong with Jelavic. He got in to positions, was unlucky not to score, had a great but ultimately unsuccessful header hitting the goal post and so and so on. He'll come good in January.

Poor Naismith has took dogs abuse when in truth, the lad is coming back from a long-term injury and hasn't done as bad as people make out, the lad at least plays with some bottle i could even say the same for Velios and Anichebe. Do we afford all players this patience before dropping them or just Jelavic?

I love Jelavic, but his form isn't near last season, even if he had a very good game vs Chelsea yesterday
My head is telling me that bench is a good option but my heart is saying he will slot very soon
Would like to see him and Vic upfront against Newcastle and Fellaini and Osman in the middle and after 60 min.
sub him - and push Felli up

after 60 min. sub him - and push Felli up

maybe this. Moyes should have a word in his lug, something along the lines of

"Даћу вам 60 минута , а ако не резултат или играјући Ñрање, ти Ñи иÑкључен"

.. then bring Vic or Vellios on.

I know it's his style but he looks ****ed half of the time .

Fellaini and Jelavic up front against Newcastle please.

There are goals to be had that night against their **** defence. I want Jelavic amongst them.

If other certain players where having dip in form. Then most people would be calling for moyes head.

He's hopefully just having his fatal second season syndrome. He had some good chances today but am not going to praise home for having good chances because if you have good chances and don't put them away you just messed up a chance that someone else could of put away. Also no one has mentioned stopped jags from going to have a decent header on goal by just diving into him which was annoying.

Am just scared that if we don't bench the lad he'll get lazy and go the way of Saha and Cahill. But instead of us knowing they've gone crap we will have this stupid Homer Simpson chasing the pig just sitting there every week going he'll come good, he'll come good. And rocking back and fourth.

I really do belive that his form is what's going to make or brake our CL hopes.
