I think Buffalo match up well against KC and Allen is the one QB I expect to go into Arrowhead in a pressure game and perform at his best.

It's virtually a toss up - as a 2 point home favourite suggests. But I still lean towards Buffalo. Although if KC can sort out the issues on the right side of their offensive line then they will have a great chance.
All the time the refs completely ignore the regular false starts by the RT, the Chiefs have no issues on the right side of the OL.

The Chiefs have Hunt and Pacheco running the ball for them. Hunt has carried them into the playoffs, Pacheco has a track record for carrying them in clutch situations (2nd half of the Superbowl win v the Eagles)... The Chiefs have everything they need to win this game.

As much as I thought they were two bad calls, I see calls just like them every week. It's an imperfect science, the Texans had all the opportunities in the world to make plays and get more points and they didn't. If your entire game boils down to one or two moments, be they ref calls or muffed plays, then you're always risking being on the wrong side of fate. See: Mark Andrews dropping the 2 point conversion

You wouldn’t have said this if Hopkins didn’t play for the Chiefs.

That roughing the passer call with the Texan sandwich was bad, no argument. But I see so many ropey calls in all the games (I thought the Stafford "forward pass" was laughable for example) but QBs get the rub these days, we know that. It's a giant leap to go from that to "the fix is in for the Chiefs"

Some more facts to chew on

Josh Allen has 0 4th quarter comebacks and 0 game winning drives in the postseason. He has never won a road playoff game.

Patrick Mahomes has 5 4th quarter comebacks and 6 game winning drives in the postseason.

It seems pretty clear who the clutch quarterback is.

You can’t blame Allen for the 13s game, he did enough to have the game winning drive in that game.

Allen’s play off games
AFC WC 4/1/20 @Texans, leading entering 4th 16-8. Texans took a 19-16 lead with 4:42, Allen’s final possession got us within FG range for a 47yd conversion to take to OT. Lost in OT 22-19, did enough to keep the game alive.

AFC WC 9/1/21 Colts, leading entering 4th 17-10. Extended lead and won 27-24, no need for a game winning drive or 4th quarter come back.

AFC Div 16/1/21 Ravens, leading entering 4th 17-3. Neither team scored. No need for a game winning drive or 4th quarter come back.

AFC C-Ship 24/1/21 @Chiefs, trailing entering the 4th 31-15. Game was over but we put up another 9 to end the game 38-24.

AFC WC 15/1/22 Patriots, leading entering 4th 33-10. Won 47-17 no need for a game winning drive or 4th quarter comeback.

AFC Div 23/1/22 @Chiefs, trailing entering 4th 23-21. Retook the lead twice in 4th, final TD 13s to go, D should have seen it out. Lost in overtime. Allen didn’t see the ball again, but drove his team into the lead with his last possession.

AFC WC 15/1/23 Dolphins, leading entering 4th 34-24. Win 34-31 no need for game winning drive or 4th quarter comeback.

AFC DIV 22/1/23 Bengals, trailing entering 4th 24-10. List 27-10. Awful performance across players and coaches. Bengals go on to beat Chiefs and reach SB.

AFC WC 15/1/24 Steelers, leading entering 4th 24-10. Won 31-17. No need for game winning drive or 4th quarter come back.

AFC DIV 21/1/24 Chiefs, leading entering 4th 24-20. Lost 27-24. Last possession took us KC 26, Bass missed FG to tie it with 1:47 left.

AFC WC 12/1/25 Broncos, leading entering 4th 21-7, won 31-7. No need for game winning drive of 4th quarter comeback.

AFC DIV 19/1/25 Ravens, leading entering 4th 21-19, won 27-25. No need for game winning drive or 4th quarter comeback.

So that’s 12 playoff appearances for 7 wins and 5 losses. In the 7 wins we were winning entering the 4th quarter on 9 occasions. The 5 losses are: 2 where teams came from behind, 2 where it was a stretch and the final one is the 13s.

So really, he hasn’t had that many chances to be clutch or come from behind (3). I’d be more concerned that Mahomes has had to do this multiple times.

For the Bills, I’m more concerned about seeing games out when we’re in the lead entering the 4th.

The game on Sunday is coming down to points off turnovers.
