2 more defeats in a row and i can see it coming and I'll be really worried. Only for the reason that this type of football takes teams down. Was glad to see last season a change from moyes but it is a total lack of intensity in our play and leaking of stupid goals that worries me. Everything looks dead. Goodison is dead. There is no life
, no spark and that is a serious problem. Teams as good as us have gone down with the same traits we have got now. This is not everton. Or at least this has not been everton....... until now. Hopefully we will get points on the board over Jan to keep us mid table . I'm trying to believe in him .... just bout

Keep the faith.

There's been a few players of late, to be excellent on loan so that getting them on a perm looked a no brainer and then when we bring them in on perm, they haven't been able to reproduce that form.

Pienaar and Barry both look that way. Maybe the manager should be spotting that stuff in training, the little signs that age is about to catch up on them? Or maybe we've just been unfortunate, twice?

A few observations that I can recall:

1) Great pass by McGeady to Coleman to set up our first.

2) Great one timer by Kone.

3) Distin on their first chance right after our goal ??? Ball watching and lucky he/we weren't punished. Can't do that.

4) Cisse...should have been off for elbowing Coleman three times, the last in the head and never should have scored the goal. He'll get a three match ban for that crap.

5) McGeady. Awful awful give away that lead to their second goal.

6) Robles. Not really making a case is he?

7) Garbutt. Looked good.

Overall, still poor but not as bad as some of the other recent matches. TOO MANY MISTAKES. TOO MUCH OF A LACK OF CONCENTRATION. I'm not encouraged and don't see any light at the end of the tunnel.

Today was on the players. Not on Roberto.
FFS I have been watching the Blues sine 1961 and this was as sh==e as I 've ever seen - and that includes Smith and Walker don't know what the answer is but the manager picks and should motivate the team.........He clearly does not

We clearly have to revert to the great question......" WTF would jesus do ? " Ha Ha

Totally understand your view......but I don't share it. No problem.
What was your view last season and this season when we topped the Europa League Group...did you think we were boring and frustrating then, and did you want RM dismissing? I think, all told, managing Everton in the EPL is a early tough job as we simply can not compete with the top 4 or 5 teams CONSISTENTLY....Europa is brilliant for us, but at the same time debilitating.....hand on heart I want RM to pull through. I think he's the right man for the longer term. Currently he is struggling and the players on the whole are a massive let down, but I think it will change.

Agree with a lot of this. In the 40+ years I've been watching the Blues there gave been far too many low points and whilst our current situation is massively frustrating, it's not the worst we've been through. I do however, think Martinez needs to shake things up and I honestly think he should start with his coaching staff and I include Ferguson in this as I have yet to see what if any positive effect he us having except the pre-match video highlights.

Fall outs behind the scenes? Assume you work at Finch Farm to know what goes on, so please share your inside information with us. Or have you been on Twitter, or got told by your mates Nans girlfriends dog walker? Making stuff up just doesn't help the situation.

Client I worked for recently, spoke to a relative of theirs who happens to play for us.
This isn't exactly a blip either, we have been underperforming since pre season. Take away the Wolfsburg results and we have been an absolute disgrace this season.

He is not good enough to be in the team at the moment.
I wonder what the other players are thinking it smacks of favourites to me

But that was not your argument, you implied that Barry coerced Martinez into making him captain in the absence of Jags.

While we were very poor today for much of the game, I have seen us play or remember us playing far far worse. There were many abject defeats in the Moyes era at such luminaries as Bolton, WBA, Birmingham, Blackburn, Villa, Newcastle where we played like we had no idea whatsoever and only our aim was to stay in the game at 0-0 for as long as possible.

What also concerns me is...

...that every team in the league currently looks at us as an easy mark and three quick points. We need to change that perception quickly back to "no one wants to play Everton."
