we are going down under Martinez if he keeps the likes of Distin,McGeady,Robles, Baines in midfield Eto'o to far from the goals. shambles again today and the biggest thing that is missing from Everton this season is the pride in the royal blue jersey.

Any positives?

Anyone?

Anything?

We need something to pick us up......when football is good it's great, when it's bad it's critical. Totally ducks up your day, week or month.

Can we have last seasons Everton and Roberto back please.

Refreshed from the cold air of storming off round the block to try and calm down I am going to try and find some positives, as they say.

At least Roberto did try to change the starting formation from 4-2-3-1.

Alcarez played well and Baines put in an incredible amount of hard work all match, albeit all rather everywhere and nowhere at times.

Kone should a good first touch and lots of movement.

The turning point in the whole match was Cisse's missed elbow.

Might things have been different with Howard fit and either of Jags / Stones fit to play instead of Distin, who in my mind was only playing by default.

However......

How many games is that in a row where the big decisions in a game go against us? 1-0 up and them down to 10 is something even we cannot F up... we are too much of a pushover with refs and it is costing us game after game now...

However......

The elbow does not excuse our dreadfully weak-hearted performance thereafter.

The decision to start with McCarthy was baffling, there was no need to risk his fitness when Besic was available to do largely the same job.

Once their first goal went in, our collective heads dropped given the big slump in team confidence at the moment. There was insufficient fight out there, only Baines and Alcarez seemed to care about what was happening.

Barkley is utterly dependent upon a high level of self-confidence to produce anything, when he is scratching around and looks ill at ease there is no point playing him.

Barry was dire, he is ludicrously slow and the decision to give him a three year deal was madness. He dictated the terms to us and we should have said no.

McGeady is not a top-flight player and never will be (not in England anyway).

While today's dross wasn't down to Lukaku, I think he touched the ball once after he came on....lumber, lumber, lumber.

How many goals or chances where due to him? It was his first start in the EPL, give him a chance.

Although that said I would have played him ahead of Baines on the wing.
I don't want to crucify the young lad today it's his first start, but he played exactly the same against france in the u21 game, he give the crosser of the ball too much space to get the ball in. we knew it would be ugly today with aclaraz, joel and distin, but I expected more from the people around them.
