New PL rules

Wasting time is pointless as Newcastle found out at Arsenal that time a few years ago and United found out last week, it just means they add on more time, when players are tired and mentally drained so more chance of conceding. In terms of premier league rules I would have a cap on wages to stop players being attracted for the one reasons to love to a club. I'd make sure all ticket prices for both home and away games are £30 maximum, no need to current TV money to be charging any more than 30 quid. I'd make sure teams play full strength squads in all competitions so, it doesn't devalue the competition. I'd like players to be booked for diving more often, as it's rarely punished and only certain players are punished, I think Niasse was the only one last season.
Except they almost never add even close to enough time.

There are plenty of rules that need bringing into the 21st Century from these dinosaurs but the more important thing that needs doing is a complete overhaul of the match officials to get rid of the widespread incompetency. Not much chance of that happening though as there isn't much competency in the PL leadership so the officials probably all look great to them. Blind leading the blind.

Don't expect any significant changes -- when the last change was on the absolutely critical matter of whether the ball could go backwards direct from a kick off.

Instead of VAR being used throughout the game and in some instances slowing the game down and spoiling the flow of the game. I’d be in favour of each manager being allowed a maximum of 2 reviews (1 in each half) if a manager loses a review, he would then lose a sub that he is allowed to make. This would stop managers contesting most decisions and only contesting those ones they have a genuine grievance over.

i dont think losing a sub is the best idea

just do what they do in tennis

if you lose the review you can't review another decision

if you win the review then you get it back and can use it again

Lose a sub? Why not lose the review, like they do in cricket? Keep the review if successful.

Why do we have to wait for the ball to go out of play to make a sub.
Just tell the fourth official and get the sub done.

That way subs will be fast coming off to not loose team shape for too long.
This way no time wasting, or disrupting the game.

Teams should be able to gamble points on match. So, 3 points is default, but if your at home, playing the bottom placed team, you can make the match worth any points value (limited to the number of points you have). Would be funny watching teams going from top of the league to bottom and vice versa, and would mean there's never an unimportant game.

This would be brilliant. Imagine the incredible scenes on the final day as the 10 home sides submit how many points they want their match to be worth in sealed envelopes. Read them all out on TV an hour before the game. It would be riveting.

Seriously though, MLS tried to more accurately add on stoppage time for a little while this season. Nearly every game was seeing 7 or 8 minutes of injury time for about a month or so, and I think everyone decided that was ridiculous (especially when the game was already decided) and it went back to the usual 3-5.

I’m confused , so a manager is allowed one per half? But loses a sub if he loses? To prevent them contesting everything? Even tho they can only do it once?

By that theory if a team is two goals up by the 82nd minute , there is no point finishing the game. Game isn’t decided until the whistle is blown , remeber spurs few years ago jelavic?
