New Healthy Start

Weigh in day today.

Been an odd week overall, not eaten like a saint but calories wise I haven't over done it either. Pretty much for anything unhealthy I have ate I have ate less during the day. Which I guess is a positive seeing as though most of the time it wasn't planned to eat said unhealthy item.

So if I drop another couple of pounds then fantastic, and fish and salad for lunch again so keeping up with that still.

Been weighed.

A touch under 2 pounds lost over the last week. Means at this rate, 2 pounds a week will translate into dropping to 14 stone give or take by december, meaning 4 stone in 4 months which is not too shabby from where i started! And last week wasn't a super healthy week either so it means i can combine eating well with the odd bad thing and still come out losing as long as the overall view is good.

Think i have a suit for the wedding as well, 42 jacket and 34 pants so if that is the case then i know i have to be in them by december, not the most ideal thing but can't turn my nose up at the challenge, plus that is where i need to be either way by then ideally. Can i do it? Well i will find out, means money wasted on a suit if i can't, but my worry is that if i get into the pants, then the jacket might then be too big! but as i am not in the 42 jacket just yet, can't be too big by then if i am only making small losses.

So either way, a week or so away from breaking 15 stone and dropping under that as well which is fantastic. the stag do this weekend so i would imagine it will be a gain this week through all the ale though which is not ideal but if i can eat reasonably well up until that point then perhaps i can counter it, or drink vodka tonics all night haha

That's the way to do it mate - allow yourself the odd treat by way of reward, but otherwise stick to the regime. It's obviously still working and getting you where you want to go. Looking forward to the post that sees you slipping comfortably into those 34 'pants'!

Build muscle, more muscle means you body burns more calories.

I'm back eating protein for every meal next Monday. Chicken for breakfast is for winners
I tried eating a chicken breast every morning for a bit but it made me gag.

I find it difficult to get the balance right of eating enough v eating too much.

haha i have no choice now the suit is bought!

But yeah, tbh 80% of anything unhealthy i ate last week was not pre planned anyway. Meals planned this week are chicken mash and veg, fish mash and veg, curry and rice and probably pasta again or something like that, can't remember exactly what the other one was. But yeah, hypothetically i plan to eat well and hope the weight loss follows.

I know the 36 pants fasten on me so even though its still a while away for them to be worn, spoke to the mrs before and even she now is going to be more supportive on me working out again so i can fit into my suit!

Following on from my fruit for breakfast thread which was a huge hit, bit of a advice thread for me this one, any tips people know and advice for the average lazy person to get healthier without having to do much so to speak.

I'm eating slightly better now, and plan to start slimming world meals next monday. So will be eating meals designed to help you lose weight, healthier options etc. I'm not cutting out all bad things and just eating lettuce, i have 2 kids, it isn't realistic so just going out my way to eat fruit for breakfast (which i'm on my third week of btw) and eating better elsewhere just to cut out as many bad things rather than all bad things.

Exercise i used to get none whatsoever. Now i am walking a fair bit more. Walked round kenny and edge hill last week, walked from old swan home last night and walked for about 20 minutes or so this morning before i got on the bus. Raised my heart rate / broke a sweat doing it. So yeah, i'm trying to be a bit more active. I'm not going the gym, and i won't start going for a run but this is me going out my way to do something extra. Combining it with pokemon go as well, so walking is hatching the eggs over the distance, so a kind of distance measurer so to speak. I have been walking round town on my dinner as well rather than doing nothing so distance covered is much bigger than i was a week or so ago

So yeah, any tips i should follow? I'm not trying to be super healthy so if i want pasta or a packet of crisps then i'm not going to shirk in horror at them. Just avoid eating them when i can. going out my way for a bit more exercise as well. A few people have noticed i have lost weight just doing the fruit thing alone, although i wonder if they are hollow compliments to encourage me. Who knows? Either way, got my mind set on it at the minute so any little tips will be great.

oh and plan to start having @Bryan smoothie for breakfast as well.

how much weight have you lose since the OP?
