Little update,

Done a full workout last night finally so back on track. Going to Insanity in work friday as well so 2 instense workouts in 3 days should put me back on track. Healthy eating again is on point, chicken breast, veg and carrot and swede mash for tea with no dessert.

enjoyed my porridge this morning though. After it exploded a little bit yesterday i stuck it in for about 30 seconds less today. And it blew up even more, only half a bowl of porridge this morning as a result lol

Dinner today is a bag of salad, carrots and cabbage and whatever else was in it asd it is dry and crunchy, so 2 of my 5 a day with one half with croutons and half the sachet of ranch sauce, and the other half got mackrel in teryaki sauce on it. 3 fruit as well so 5 a day before i even walk in from work, with probably spag bol for tea i would imagine.

I don't, admittedly my digestive system hasn't been 'normal' since all this started but it has eased off now.

One thing i have noticed is like last friday, had a burger again as we had no food in at all so compensated again on a burger over something worse. My stomach did feel heavier than it normally did, almost as if it was my stomachs way of telling me that what i had eaten wasn't good for me.

the one thing i have been doing is maintaining the healthier eating though which is a good thing i think. Means even if i don't exercise i should still be dropping a couple of pounds a week just by eating better. The exercise is just a catalyst for it all to speed up a bit whilst i can do it. Once i get around 13-14 stone that is when it would slow down i imagine.

Your body loses excess fluid first and then moves onto the fat which is harder to shift.

That's why a lot of people give up a the fat shifting stage as they seem to stop losing weight and then slowly go back to their old ways

didn't know it was fluid. Would explain why i have a beer belly without drinking ale in the first place lol I know from years ago how hard it is once i get down to about 13 and a half stone to shift it, that was much harder but at the same time i was building internal muscle so didn't realise why the scales weren't dropping! Whereas now, for every pound or two i drop i'm adding the same in muscle so the slow process feels longer. Missus reckons my stomach is flattening though which is a good sign. Still got a belly like but assuming if it flattens, then it will start to then go inwards until i'm left with the belly i always have no matter my weight.

The fluid is easy to shift. If you weigh yourself before doing a real intense work out and then weigh yourself after you will see that you've lost weight - fluid.

Drink a pint of water and the weight is back. ( that's why boxers almost dehydrate themselves before weigh ins ).

Muscle also weighs more than fat, it's to do with density.

The hard part is getting the balance right.

cheers mate. Good to know.

I have reeled in my water intake now by this week. I still only drink that or green tea but i'm not doing out my way to drink loads, just solely sticking to it, so if i only drink a litre of the stuff then least that is it, no juice or pop as well.

Plus the porridge is my attempt to get calcium into my diet as well which had gone out of it to be honest.

I can't believe I'm having a conversation about porridge on the internet with some vaping lunatic, but here goes.

When you microwave it, do it for half the recommended time, take it out, stir it with a fork and then microwave it for the rest of the time at a slightly reduced power.

Don't leave the fork in the bowl for the second bit unless you like watching sparks and burning.
