I know what you mean Dave but it wont be an end of season relegation battle. it'll allow us time to build on progress, because thats what it is/will be. A derby win would be nice though, hopefully we will have players back by then.

For a 12:15 ko I thought the atmosphere was pretty decent today. It wasn't rocking but the atmosphere was on par if not better had the same fixture been played at Goodison.

We were told. We were told that when a team moves stadium that their home form suffers, sometimes a great deal. We were pretty awful at the old place too in the last couple of seasons. I’m really unsure what we expect, or believe we are entitled to sometimes. We are a very short squad, which in the last few years has had 50p spent on it, and this summer had a very middling amount spent on players, plus a stadium move. We are about where we should be all things considered

Only noticed today the blocks go from 202 to 204, why’s there no block 203? Have I missed something with 203 being a curse?

I think the block numbers are named after the exits from level 2 and the missing ones might be the exits to the disability sections at the back of the lower but accessed from the 2nd floor.

I think euro campaign would be a great achievement for this year but problematic for next. Our squad just isnt big or strong enough yet.

Yes Goodison could be quiet but post pandemic the atmosphere picked up and there was a lot more effort made. If that penalty shootout would have been at Goodison it would have been intimating for the opposition. Today it was so silent when the players walked down to take their kick. It's not the stadium design though, it's a supporter issue.

1st Para - Add - Strikers out, cos might as well as BOTH are utterly useless. 2nd Para - Europa /Conference lge? Your avin a laugh, unless he brings in ANYONE to score goals and hit the ground running.

there were peeps on my row that turned up in the 18th minute and others who left for half time piss/drinks at 38mins. I was up and down more for people coming in/leaving than getting up because the footy was exciting.

In my row in the South Upper there is a group of 8 that start to go for beers after 30 mins in the first have and are never back before 15 mins after the start of the second half.

Worse still they go and come back in dribs and drabs.

I can't be the only person who thinks the away fans are so much louder at the new place

This tells us the stadium design is meeting it's brief of projecting the sound properly.

If one corner can produce that noise, imagine what we could do with the rest.

Things will likely improve when people find their comfort zone with those around them and continue to settle in.

Things had got a lot better just prior to this run of players out and poor form. Bit more excitement on the pitch as opposed to sideways passing will get the place rocking

Everything closed before the start of extra time - nothing left to sell, ran out of the lot. No hot water for tea before the second half, no soft drinks throughout the match.
