The West Stand looks like it has joined one of the curses of modern football with plush seats either side of the tunnel and along the touchline. I know we had the family stand either side of the tunnel at Goodison, but that was always more hostile than what we have now.I can understand wanting to take as much from the hospitality experience as possible, after all the supporters have paid hefty amounts to take advantage of the benefits which those spaces have to offer. Having said that, it does not look great when you have supporters going into these hospitality spaces when the match is on and it is disappointing to see when I would like to see as many people getting behind the team as possible. When you ignore the hospitality spaces entirely, there still seems to be quite a few empty seats in the West Stand in the spaces near the corners. I have noticed this on a handful of occasions this season.
The club will/are expecting a drop off on season tkts end of first or second season at HDS. Hopefully these will be taken up from the waiting list, therefore reducing the need for membership. Personally,I think the club did right in introducing the FB membership, not the price though. Think the way they sell the tkts is ok, just some minor adjustments needed.Yes they need to get rid of the ballot
Do a first sale for say 10+ credits prior season
Following day paid members (ideally just having an account and no fee but they’re not giving that up so easily I imagine)
Third day general sale
Get to choose your seat and higher likelihood possibly of getting none next to who you want to go with
Prices need reducing too, they certainly cannot go up
The other choice would be to lower membership prices but I doubt that will happen. The ballot has become an irrelevance given how easy it is to get tickets on the resale site for every game so far. Far too many empty seats in the ground though so the club are gonna have to come up with a system that lets people who aren't prepared to pay for membership buy tickets.
At least they had the foresight to put general admission seats all along the touchline in the camera view. Nothing worse than seeing all the empty seats on TVThe West Stand looks like it has joined one of the curses of modern football with plush seats either side of the tunnel and along the touchline. I think it’ll remain that way until the Derby when we’ll either have some beaked up berk make a tit of themselves, or RS in the section.
I'll be buying the lower priced ones next season, the plus membership just gets you into the ballot, the standard forever blue is all you need for the resale site. The other choice would be to lower membership prices but I doubt that will happen.
Love this post.Just not how support works tho, not sure about how long you’ve supported Everton but it’s been my whole life and I do because my dad did who has also supported him his whole life, through thick and thin and in spite of who owns us at this current moment and certainly even when the prices of sausage rolls rise!
It's not how support worked, I'm not sure that is exclusively true of younger football fans.Just not how support works tho, not sure about how long you’ve supported Everton but it’s been my whole life and I do because my dad did who has also supported him his whole life, through thick and thin and in spite of who owns us at this current moment and certainly even when the prices of sausage rolls rise!

4 if us in the corner of the North / West stand (245) said the same thing. I had a t-shirt, sweatshirt and a big Everton coat on and was bloody sweating. Was it just me but it felt like it wasn't as cold inside the stadium as it was outside, against Brentford.
Body heat being kept inside by the towering stands maybe?
Actually lowing the ticket prices on the resale would go a long way.The other choice would be to lower membership prices but I doubt that will happen.
We're near the top of the South Lower and wind was hitting us in the face all game. And no it wasn't the arl fella in frontWas it just me but it felt like it wasn't as cold inside the stadium as it was outside, against Brentford.
