New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Starting to really hate our fanbase with all this.

I keep seeing people on twitter tagging the club and the fans forum with their constant gripes.

The club clearly listen because the DJ in the plaza was binned, then when people decided they didn’t like there she goes anymore that’s gone, and the siren will be next.

Some people actually like these things. Just because you’re a misery arse doesn’t mean you have to start demanding the club does something about it.

Eventually it will be the same old Everton songs on loop, they’ll be no music outside of that anywhere, the light shows will be gone, the siren as well and all we’ll be able to hear is a bunch of moaning arl fellas.

You don’t have to like absolutely everything about the new ground.

becomes very tiresome

I think it is perfectly legitimate to criticise things you feel are not up to scratch.

I haven't been to a game at BMD yet due to health issues over the last year, but I did go on a stadium tour last November.

Whilst the bowl and pitch is hugely impressive, I was less impressed with the general finish of the concourse areas, which is sparse and even rough in places - I suspect some of the workers don't share our love for EFC. We didn't get to see any of the lounges so I can't comment on those areas.

It did seem like some work was ongoing in places and my overall impression was that it is still a work in progress. Hopefully the Friedkins will try to improve the fan experience and spruce the place up a bit.

Find it mad how people are saying it’s impossible to get a drink at half time.

I can walk down on the half time whistle and have a drink within two minutes.

Also, the queues to get in go down really quickly.

I don’t know why a lot of people are having a different experience to me?

Again, people are used to an enclosed concourse at goodison not knowing or applying any thought to the numerous F&B areas near.

Not enough fans have been willing to be honest about the ground. It is a genuinely top tier ground that we as a club are managing the matchday experience of terribly.

Going through metal detectors to get onto the site is just insane. No other ground in the UK does this, it creates artificial queues and doesn’t exactly enamour fans with the experience from the start.

Same with the turnstiles, somehow they have picked the worst ones I have ever gone through.

The concourses are dire, both in appearance and function. Looks completely unfinished, little to no branding etc, the food and ale situation is again the worst I have seen in a ground, nearly impossible to get a drink at half time or before the ground which leads to the ground being half empty from about 35 minutes onwards.

The seat unique partnership has been a disaster, large areas of seating are still empty game after game.

Add into that the football is so boring and uninspiring at the minute then the atmosphere isn’t ever going to compete with goodison. When it gets loud it is great, genuinely deafening. But expecting that to be the norm is unrealistic when so much else is wrong.

Sort out the above and it will be one of the best grounds out there.
And yet I’ve never had to que at the gate. Only time I’ve ever had to que at a turnstile was the friendly against Roma, since then I’ve pretty much just walked in. I get food and drink before every game and the longest I’ve waited is like 5 minutes.

Entered the ballot for Utd game.

Went Lower South first choice and lower west second choice.

Got upper South!

But made up….l,can’t wait to see it. Have only been to 2 night games so while I get the issue for regular going fans, somewhat a novelty for me.

Just a shame Amorim didn’t get an extra few months!

Agreed. Everything is still bedding, but the stadium is fantastic and improving each game.

Although if that's how it works, I don't like what I see on the pitch most games so if I send an email they'll sort it out?

In some cases, I would liken the complaints to a teenager who has been forced to move house, away from their friends. They are going to hate the new house and lash out, they are going to complain about everything, even the small things. Once they see that it is a nice house and they make new friends, etc. they mellow out and start to appreciate the beauty of where they have moved to.

I would also say, how long does a new house feel like home, especially if you have lived in the old home for 20, 30, 40, etc. years. We haven't unpacked all the boxes yet, so for those saying it is just somewhere Everton play football, it will come.

I honestly really like the ground , my gripes are minor .

Tickets could definitely be easier to transfer but I think we as a fan base just need to adapt as well .

Queues could certainly be eased but going forward I think we’ll see access /egress simplified with development .

I’d like the concourses maybe spruced up a bit , less bare concrete and maybe a few more tellies.

To reiterate though I think the ground is brilliant and we’ll settle in over time .

Because people are unable to use basic thinking and problem solving skills.

It’s the same with the toilets in the lower south. The ones right by the stairs into the bowl are rammed but if you just walk a mere minutes further down, you can just stroll in.

Ive gone down on 40th minutes for the round and been stood watching the end of the half by 43/44. If its just drinks, the fast pass is great.

As well as some people seemingly causing their own problems, many just outright lie about it. I saw numerous people talking about the problems that huge queues at the wall caused a few weeks ago, saying they missed kick off and had queued for half an hour and whatever, it was just totally untrue. I arrived at the wall about 10 minutes before kick off, saw a huge queue and feared the worst but I was in my seat before the teams even came out. A mate arrived after me, used a different gate and sits in a different stand and he was also there in time for kick off. It just didn't happen but people moaned about this imagined scenario for some reason.

Queing for the toilet at HT during Arsenal and an old fella was fuming shouting 'is that Xmas music playing in the bogs, ah this clubs gone down the pan, turning more like the fck RS by the day'. He looked close to having a heart attack with the rage boiling up inside.

People forget that half our fanbase our miserable old, angry men. My point is, it will be almost impossible for this to change. A trophy will help, but they'll always have something to moan about, it's part of their DNA.
