It’s only natural when things start to go wrong, everything about the club is questioned. The stadium, the CEO, the playing squad, the manager, the recruitment team and the owners.
I’ll deal with each point - the stadium. We have one of the best in the country and the envy of many teams. However I’d like it to be more ‘evertonised’ a few badges in the exterior is frankly not good enough.
Kinnear - we heard a lot from him when he was first appointed and very little since - needs to do better.
With a full complement of players, we’ve proven we have a team capable of challenging the better teams. However AFCON and injuries have shown we have very little squad depth.
Moyes was the right appointment at the time. He was the safe option to ensure stability at the club, but whether he is the man long term to take the club by the scruff of the neck to take the club to the next level (like Emery at Villa) I highly doubt it.
The recruitment has been on the whole poor. As well as Grealish and KDH have done, we have wasted 70m on Dibling and Barry. The jury is still out on Rohl and Azou. The failure to get a RB in the Summer and even a half decent striker who could get even 10 goals a season was scandalous.
Finally the owners- I will be forever grateful that initially they saved us from financial ruin. They have shown to be smart businessmen. But it is more than a little concerning that Dan has yet to visit the stadium, even on our first game at the new stadium. It does make you think what their motives are.
A good cup run and a top 10 placing in the league, should have been the minimum with our squad this season. As always, Lady Luck wasnt kind to us with injuries and suspensions today. However serious questions must be asked of the coaches and management, if we can’t get at least a top 10 placing with our returning players. And frankly at least a top 10 placing will show progress compared to other seasons.

I'd go with Iraola or who a lot of people suggested on the other thread on managerial succession: Howe.
Iraola is a victim of his own success. The vultures have swooped and taken virtually every top player they’ve got. Is it any wonder they are struggling for consistency? What cannot be denied is even with weakened teams, his teams play football that are pleasing on the eye.

Yep. He adapts and doesn't moan - something Moyes can never be accused of.

36% win ratio at Bournemouth. A club with zero pressure.

Do you think he could handle the pressure in stepping up? I don’t.

As has been pointed out: he's had his best players taken from him while Moyes was spending in the summer.

They're three points off us.

And I'd rather watch an Iraola team week in week out than this dire crap served up by Moyes.

So they're not as good when they lose players ? Our fans will not accept losing full stop pleasing on the eye or not.

Leaving a lot to be desired at present. No signs of any genuine improvement on or off the pitch

Some wild shouts on here... this one is a goodie though.

We've gone from relegation scraps... having players jib us off, not being able to afford anbody... selling all our best young players...

to NONE of the above and attracting people like Grealish and KDH

They seen a club that needed some work but not a great deal, bring in a manager to bring stability to the football side of things first.

Finance the backend of the stadium which will increase the clubs book value significantly.

Using the stadium to leverage commercial deals such as Pepsi and Budweiser, given their background I bet they found this pretty easy.

Give a stable manager some money to spend, given that the squad and been deprived of any significant investment for 5 years it was a must.

I bet they're made up with their work I don't know exactly what their capital outlay is in total as of now but I can guarantee that they would make a profit if they sold the club in the summer once this seasons significantly increased revenue has been realised in full.

There is nothing wrong with the above before I get the normal responses but until proven otherwise I don't see them pushing us to where we are all desperate to go.

If I was a owner and I looked at the table after the Forest game, I would have been asking my CEO what can we do to do something quite remarkable given the last 5 or so years or relegation battles or at least the threat of one.

I don't blame Moyes and the committee not say wanting to go sign a striker this window or even a LB (said through gritted teeth) but there is a glaring issue that can't be ignored any longer and by not ignoring it would improve the way we defend and attack and maybe be the push to get us into Europa League or conference.

You add this onto what Mark Douglas source said in his article last week it pretty much supports the above.

How many windows did they say they needed? Was it 6 windows?

This is their 3rd window and so far theyve spent money in 1 of them.

If you’re Francisco Conceição - who we evidently agreed a fee for - that makes complete sense as a reason. He’d been on loan at Juventus and wanted to stay there. His choice is totally understandable, but our choice in wasting time pursuing him isn’t - it shows we targeted completely the wrong people and, by the time we realised it, many of the right ones had gone elsewhere.

I bet hes looking at the young players we signed and thanking his lucky stars he didnt sign for us.

What u21 player signs for this manager now?

Yes lost 3/4 of his back 4 last summer and all to top sides RS, PSG, Madrid which shows how well he coached them.

Exciting football.
Happy to develop and play youngsters
Can get teams up the league

If we are serious about spending to build the side into a consistent top 6 team then he's got to be under consideration.

Theyve had an 18 year old at centre back this season.

High intensity, aggressive direct football sounds good to me.

Liverpool 2- Everton 1
Everton 0 - Spurs 3
Everton 0 - Newcastle 3
Man City 2- Everton 0
Chelsea 2 - Everton 0
Everton 0 - Arsenal 1
Everton 0 - Villa 0
United 0 - Everton 1

That’s the sky six plus Villa and Newcastle the most recent CL qualifiers. Arguably the teams that should the 8 best in the country. We scored 1 goal vs the worst United team in their PL history (despite doing our best to throw that game too) and we scored 1 vs a Liverpool team who then got beaten by basically everyone immediately afterwards.

We don’t have a team capable of challenging anyone.

I agree with the rest of your assessment, whereas in the past we had a team that wa better than the off field situation, now I feel we’ve improved off the pitch immeasurably but the team is so poor.

I think this is the key. If we'd played out an exciting 3-3 draw and then lost 7-6 on penalties I doubt people would be as fed up with the manager.
