Again, its on Moyes to select the players he wants. If he refuses full backs im not sure what people want TFG to do?
And if Moyes selects players he wants, but TFG refuse the purchase? I'm not sure what people want Moyes to do?

Being slightly facetious here, but worth highlighting the fact that both Moyes and TFG are ultimately responsible for ensuring the right players are brought in to fill the right gaps.

What fullbacks did he refuse? I am sure he never asked for aznou but yet we signed the player. Moyes will play him if he has no other options, same as patto. The reality is that aznou was dire in the u21s games and understandably so he is not getting a look for the first team. This type of narrative suits the board perfectly...its not us is the manager...

Even in your barmy scenario, it was TFG that hired Moyes and gave him 100% control of transfers.

Its not my "barmy scenario" its fact and you've been told it.

Moyes when joining and in the summer was in charge of transfers.

Boyland has said there was £200mil available.

Moyes chose not to spend it. Which is a good thing after blowing a wedge on Rohl.

Just as a reminder since TGF took over at Roma in 2020, they’ve had 6 managers and 3 CEO’s.
Can’t imagine why they would operate like that over there, but not here.

Not particularly the roller coaster I wish to revisit after the Mosh years, but suggests they have high expectations (over there at least)

Think they have learnt lessons from their early days at Roma. Not getting a marque name as manager, paying wages for older players with no resale value. Plus not sacking managers/ceo’s as quick.

It has been steady and there has been progress but equally the summer recruitment looks very poor now.

I’d hoped they’d have hit the areas they missed in Jan…so far it appears they will do bugger all…very very frustrating

Their ambition is to simply survive in the Prem as far as I’m concerned. Until they show me otherwise

They seen a club that needed some work but not a great deal, bring in a manager to bring stability to the football side of things first.

Finance the backend of the stadium which will increase the clubs book value significantly.

Using the stadium to leverage commercial deals such as Pepsi and Budweiser, given their background I bet they found this pretty easy.

Give a stable manager some money to spend, given that the squad and been deprived of any significant investment for 5 years it was a must.

I bet they're made up with their work I don't know exactly what their capital outlay is in total as of now but I can guarantee that they would make a profit if they sold the club in the summer once this seasons significantly increased revenue has been realised in full.

There is nothing wrong with the above before I get the normal responses but until proven otherwise I don't see them pushing us to where we are all desperate to go.

If I was a owner and I looked at the table after the Forest game, I would have been asking my CEO what can we do to do something quite remarkable given the last 5 or so years or relegation battles or at least the threat of one.

I don't blame Moyes and the committee not say wanting to go sign a striker this window or even a LB (said through gritted teeth) but there is a glaring issue that can't be ignored any longer and by not ignoring it would improve the way we defend and attack and maybe be the push to get us into Europa League or conference.

You add this onto what Mark Douglas source said in his article last week it pretty much supports the above.

Just a further thing, a lot will remember on here when we would be in a similar position under Moyes previously where some investment in January would have got us top 4 potentially or in Martinez first season similar but we did very little.

Until I see this trend come to an end I don't think I will believe in any owner.
