Freidkin takes over at Roma on 17 August 2020; they visit Rome less than a month later on 12 September 2020 to meet the players and have a civic meet up with the mayor of Rome - all during Covid with all those travel restrictions. A week after that Friedkin announces himself as Chairman and fills all other top slots in the club's board.

Freidkin takes over at Everton on 19 December and appoints Marc Watts as executive chairman - who attends one game.

We're the red headed step child here.

After the closing of The Transfer Windows, now the real work starts and I can't wait to see your future reactions to this @davek.

The owners now need to appoint a CEO who will then make decisions from the top down on the wat the good ship Everton will be steered from Goodison to BMD and all being well, onwards and upwards.

I think it’s a disgrace they haven’t spent half a billion pounds on the best players in Europe, appointed Jeff Bezos as CEO, hired Brian Clough and built another new stadium. What have they been doing this whole time???

I guess there are many precedents with foreign ownership but Friedkin not yet having come over for a game does grate with me a little.

I understand this is a man with multiple demands on his time but people make time for things they consider important to them.

Koeman didn't consider it important enough to break off a holiday when he got the job here and that was rightfully flagged.

I'm hopeful for what they will do to improve us over the longer term and hardly something to lose sleep over. Just a weekend trip is all it takes like a couple of rounds of golf.

He'll probably come over for The Old Lady's final farewell with it being such an historic day for the club.

They've reinforced their view on Everton's status. We dont warrant a visit or even video message to fans since TFG took over 3 months ago whereas they were over to Rome in a heartbeat during covid; and take a look at the spending on each clubs squad.

I said above that there's a feeling of aloofness about all this and it has a knock-on effect so that you feel we're still rootless as an organisation.

They need to get their heads out of their arses and turn up in Liverpool because this is not a great look for them.

100% agree, been a very subdued takeover so far. At least Farhad backed us immediately and at least seemed interested, he was just badly advised.
