Still awaiting what CEO they will go for if the shortlist rumours are true.

Paul Barber - Brighton
Vinal Venkatesham - ex-Arsenal
Alister Mackintosh - Fulham

Also what will happen with Thelwell after Monday.

It's tough to judge Thelwell because of all the boardroom antics and financial fair play issues. The money he has spent has been hit and miss:

Hits:
Onana
Ndiaye
McNeil
Gueye
Young
Tarkowski

Misses:
Maupey
Harrison
Danjuma
Beto

Mid:
Garner
Chermiti

Whether a sensible budget and proper management would mean the targets would be more positive than negative.

Years ago they had a saying about mean people: 'short arms, long pockets.

That fits the bill here so far from what I can see.

$8 billion they're worth and I don't see how it's benefitting us where it matters.

This lot have not backed either of the two managers they've had. A loan deal for a Southampton reject for 4 months is not backing the manager.
Bertrand Russell once wrote “The problem with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt”

Again Dave, they were willing to back the previous manager, only for him to throw the towel in. They’re willing to back Moyes as well but if there’s not a deal to be made then there isn’t much they can actually do. The last thing we need is them to go spend happy like Penfold

Loans are not the same. If Beto plays well to finish out this season, the misses are essentially 10m for Maupay.

Regarding Thelwell, after what we’ve seen of Beto in his cameos this year up through yesterday’s performance, I wouldn’t consider him a miss. I have a lot of hope for him. I felt he was judged a little too early and unfairly because he was being evaluated by an unfair sample set.
