None of those 6 clubs immediately admitted guilt and gave a grovelling "thank you" to the league for deducting points.
Didn't half annoy me that.
Argued at the time it was weak and time would show it to be.
How has this aged?...

Are these numbers roughly legit? In the summer the PSR rules will change. Clubs can then spend up to 85% of their total revenue on player wages + transfer amortization.
Our revenue next season is expected to be around 250m, higher than all but 6-7 clubs. That means we can spend 212m on wages+. Considering we currently spend 75-90m on wages and more players are coming off of the books, that gives the owners a LOT of money to spend on buying players if they wish.
Hopefully, there won't be a next time. But now we have competent owners, they'd tell the premier league to do one if they tried to charge us again.Ok so next time we’ll just do the same as them.
Imagine between now and summer finch farm/stadium gets naming rights! A good shirt/sleeve sponsor! Will also help. Are these numbers roughly legit?
After the horrors post Ancelotti that seems way to good too be true…
Until we bring Bolasie back for £40m on a five yearSounds like a cause to be excited for! Cheers!
The more I consider it the more it feels about right and would indicate we’d have leeway for well over net 100m in transfer fees whilst sitting in a state of the art stadium fit for any status of club in the world…Imagine between now and summer finch farm/stadium gets naming rights! Plus were no longer paying millions each month to Rights & media. Cheers Bill
Going forward we should start to see benefit of good owners/new ground/extra sponsorship.
We can’t do a city but we can certainly spend a lot more than we have.
For once everything looks like it will fall in our favour (assuming PL survival) at once: PSR changes, increased revenue, significant wage savings from expired contracts. Be no surprise to see a 200m + spend this summer. Possibly more if JB goes for big money. In the summer the PSR rules will change.
