Minas priority is Columbia, that’s the problem. Plays 3 games in a week in South America and half comes back to recover at Everton.

I think a CB is incredibly important. All of our CBs have major issues:
Mina - Quality but injury prone
Keane - Can't play any sort of system where we play expansively. Only useful as a penalty box defender in a narrow back 4. Prone to mistakes
Godfrey - Really poor in the air relative to what a CB should be, also lacks positional sense and is surprisingly poor with the ball at his feet.
Holgate - An utter fraud
Branthwaite - Promising but almost completely untested at the top level
I'd go as far as to say we could do with two new CBs, with Mina and his huge wages departing this summer and Holgate packed off to whoever will take him

It'd go basically the same. He'd be fine but make mistakes as he's way more exposed than in Burnley's bunker. Not worthwhile.

22 years old 6'4 good passer
5: Sven Botman plays for Lille and Holland

Only concern with him is his speed on the turn.

To follow on from this...sell Mina, Keane and Holgate.
Sign one new centre back.
Go with Branthwaite, Godfrey + new player. Bring Reece Welch into the 1st team as backup and sign a 30+ year old experienced player on a short term deal.
That is the way to use an older experienced player. Feels a bit too much like planning for us.

Very unlikely we’d have a chance, but Christensen hasn’t signed his Chelsea contract I believe. On a free in the summer. Also Romangoli at Milan also is a free agent in the summer. These 2 would suit a back 3
