Neville Southall is the undisputed king of Twitter

Southall got there for the save, but no goalkeeper had the right to get there. The commentators response was 'how did Southall get on the end of that one'. I must of watched that video countless times as a kid, mainly for the cup final, and that save has always stuck out for me. He simply shouldn't of been there, and I could never work how he did it.

I was only a kid when southall was in his prime but the stand out thing when watching him was just how fast his reactions were, even in that FA cup final in 95 when southall was in the twilight of his career, it was his quick reactions that kept us in the game and one last piece of silverware befitting of the winner he is

lol the tune in this is proper Hollywood hero music

Someone needs to post that to Piers Morgan's comment. If you saw Big Nev in his prime you know there is no comparison to Seaman.

I would name a stand after him for his goalkeeping ability and his love of Everton. I would name another one after him for what he said about Piers Morgan.
I don't understand people's need to defend Big Nev against anything Morgan has to say, he talks out of the wrong hole.

I'd be amazed if Morgan even followed football in the 1980s,the tedious modern day sky fan that he is!!
Nailed it 100%
Seen the two of them in their prime mate, and Schmeichel was a superb goalkeeper, but Southall was outstanding.
Was without doubt the best in the world in the mid 80s not being OTT or seeing it through blue tinted glasses he was the best around then .Feel lucky to have watched him in his prime .Someone posted (can't remember who ) that he is not in our hall of fame gob smacked at that .surely that's got to be sorted out .

It was more than reactions. Any other keeper would of been standing in the middle of goal, or hopelessly flapping at it as it sails over their head. Not Southall, he was exactly where he needed to be. Great anticipation

When you have admiration for you ability from not only your own fans, but ex keepers and opposition supporters then you know how highly regarded you are. Still the best keeper I’ve ever seen, schmechiel being second.
