2025/26 Nathan Patterson

Good to see him getting minutes. He looked really rusty, understandably so after being frozen out by Moyes, but he was very wasteful in possession and you can't afford to keep giving the ball away in such tight games. It was no surprise to see him hauled off.

Didn't offer much offensively, but he might have been playing with a degree of nervousness having not played much recently. His solitary cross was accurate though.

Hopefully he gets more action in the next match, particularly as it's at our place.

…..watched a fair portion of the game. I’m not a Patterson fan but thought he did ok and he was up against two good wingers. He can be caught out with one pass behind.

Japan technically very good, a bit lightweight and didn’t make the most of their chances but they’ll be giving teams a game in World Cup.

What a guy, still keeping his head up despite all the adversity....from the Celtic fans, Celtic who are third in a two Horse race. Good night lads 💙

8 defeats in a two horse race would be impossible for Celtic wouldn't it?

Think they only face each other 4 times.

Strange, I must have misread the league table.

Caught out a couple of times in defence, decent going forward. Gave the team some good shape. Needs to learn to defend better. Will be a good player.

He’s crap.

He’s crap.
Yes, he certainly hadn't developed into the player we all hoped he'd be, after showing potential early in his time here - although that seems a long time ago now. The succession of injuries won't have helped.

Moyes seems to have almost completely given up on him, using him only as a last resort, so it's difficult to see how he can turn things around at this club with Moyes strongly rumoured to be signing a new deal soon. It'd be nice to see Patterson get a fresh start somewhere and, with a bit of luck, put his injuries behind him and nail down a starting spot somewhere - he'll never develop his game by lying on a treatment table or languishing on the bench.

Shows how crap the talent of footballers are in Scotland when the 4th choice Rightback for us starts for Scotland.
Must be doing something right when they topped their group(which was tougher than Engurlund's! 😏) to qualify for the World cup this summer? 🤔

Now has almost half as many international caps as he has made Everton appearances. Hopefully we don't start reading "we're only keeping him fit for Scotland" shouts, like those we've seen directed at other players by the more bitter sections of our online fanbase.
