2025/26 Nathan Patterson

Wrong. Patterson started the first 8 games of 22/23. Coleman was on bench for 7 of them. He only came back into team as Patto got an injury. (Actually had one of the best defences in the league to that point).

As I said. Lampard played him at the start of that season despite Coleman being available.

But that’s been gone over plenty of times, so make up what you want as you will anyway.
I only ever remember Patto having one very good game for Everton: a derby, funnily enough - I think it was 3 years ago or something.

Bizarre that Moyes praised him and then dropped him. I think he should start in home games where we need to be taking the initiative a bit more, either as right back or right wing back.

Hes done the same with many players.

Nonsensical that Patterson has been dropped essentially for Keane to play at centre back.

No point to even try to second guess Moyes at this point. Its so exhausting.

Without his injuries things may have been so different.

Lampard praised Coleman but tried to get Patterson up and running.

People seem eager to slate players who arent given a run of games and praise those who dont seem to need the regular minutes.

Doesnt seem fair to me after all if a player is going to be first choice they'll get regular minutes.

We were told by the media and ITKs that clubs were there for him and he said "I want to fight for minutes here".

Sorry, what part is made up?
All of it, you've got absolutely no idea of what's gone on behind the scenes. The more likely scenario is Moyes wouldn't let him go this window, as even though he clearly doesn't fancy him as first choice he can see they were dreadfully short in the full back areas. And therefore were a couple of injuries away from needing him (as has happened recently).

But you just keep peddling your line that Patterson is happy sitting on the bench taking the money.
