2025/26 Nathan Patterson

Signed 4th January 2022.
Has had 4 years. Played less than 60 games, so ~ 14 games a season.
Signed by the worst choice of manager possible outside of "captain fantastic" and his 4 year old boy haircut.
Since overlooked by lampard, dyche and rarely used by Moyes.
3.1 managers can't get a tune out of him?

It would be interesting to to know what (if any) assurances he was given by Moyes to make him want to stay at the club for the rest of the season when other teams were supposedly in for him. Based on yesterday and the last month or so, he's an absolute last resort for Moyes, and it's difficult to understand why he'd want to be here.
He gave him none mate. Patterson let it be known he'd rather settle 'for minutes' at Everton than move on. Moyes would have wanted the cash to invest in a RB in January.

That's what we're up against.

Maybe he's a Ben White type, only sees football as a means to an end and doesn't really enjoy playing. It would be interesting to read a Nathan Patterson autobiography in due course, find out a bit more about what went on (or didn't) in his career. He's proving to be something of an enigma.

Who's going to pay good money for a 5 page book? 🤷‍♂️

Lampard initially didn’t play him as wanted Coleman’s leadership to hep in relegation scrap. But played him when he was fit the next season ahead of Coleman who was on the bench.

Patto actually played 10 times for Lampard, mostly when Coleman was injured.

Hardly a ringing endorsement.

Wrong. Patterson started the first 8 games of 22/23. Coleman was on bench for 7 of them. He only came back into team as Patto got an injury. (Actually had one of the best defences in the league to that point).

As I said. Lampard played him at the start of that season despite Coleman being available.

But that’s been gone over plenty of times, so make up what you want as you will anyway.

Are you sure they’ve been blowing in the right end?
