Give him a new deal and end all this right back talk.
Or that he will get game timeMaybe his decision to stay was influenced by the uncertainty over David Moyes' future at the club beyond this Summer. It's often said that Patterson just needs a fresh start under a new manager.
I'll be interested to see if/how Moyes utilises him over the remainder of the season. Given that immediately upon the return of other players he unceremoniously dumped Patterson from the starting line up following three reasonable performances, it's difficult to imagine he'll afford him many minutes.Or that he will get game time
He's done pretty well in his first few back
Of course he's staying - no one's wants him.
He's passing on info from the club; it's not his info.
Patterson to Bologna no-go is code for "we're not getting a RB in and we'll use this as an excuse".
No top tier club would want this feller. The propaganda of the last few weeks has been hilarious. He's barely played a scrap of decent football and Moyes had him out of there asap.
Even if the interest was genuine you'd still have to have a player who's willing to leave.
He's just made the unbelievable statement that he'd rather fight "for minutes" with Everton rather than leave for first team starts at Bologna.
The feller is 'kin outrageous. No wonder no manager picks him other than when it's
Constantly all over the place.Quite the shift there...you went from being adamant nobody would want him to being aghast that he's outright rejected first team starts at Bologna, all within the space of 10 mins.
Make your mind up eh fella![]()
He'll get game time here now. It's unlikely that all four centre halves/fullbacks(!) will stay fit/unsuspended all season and, after the first half against Brighton, I'm not sure it'll always be a go to for Moyes to play them all in any case. Pickford will get a few more starts and a few more substitute appearances this season, imo. Which, combined with some world cup exposure, will likely give him better options for a permanent move in the summer.Or that he will get game time

I hope he plays him at RB from this point forward. We're much more balanced playing a RB at RB.I think Moyes wants to start Mykolenko Branthwaite Tarkwoski O’Brien as his first choice back 4 as he’s put a lot of credit in what they did last season when he came in.
As yoy say though there will be injuries and suspensions. I just think Patterson is a player who needs the rhythm of successive matches to get his top fitness and form. Going back to the bench and coming on for cameos again would be a step back. We look more absences side when he plays.
Yea I guessed that was a typo. Was never going to Pickford of all players! Not Pickford! Patterson. Doh.
