2025/26 Nathan Patterson

Was unlucky to be dropped and it was a bit insulting to bring him on so late in the game - I suspect the motivation for the sub might have been that Branthwaite was on a yellow or that he was tiring rather than Moyes making a tactical decision to bring Patterson on. Nevertheless, Patterson did well to get involved straight away and looked to offer us something more direct, albeit with slightly wayward crossing. Given so few minutes he should be pleased with the impression he made, and he's probably given Moyes a bit of a decision to make for the Fulham game.

HA HA HA HA HA HA.

Contribution: two balls in the box = 1 gets deflected onto the toe of Keane; one sails over the head of everyone and out for a throw in to Brighton.

Come on down and get your match award Patto...

Anyone seen a post where @Eggs criticised Moyes, barely even?

…really? was very critical of his game management of the Brentford game and others since, also regularly posting about his accountability over transfers and even critical of him this evening for not having a quality, conventional RB.

I just tend to understand his approach, think he’s done a terrific job in improving our lot on the pitch. What disappoints is posters having fixed views, when folk are so entrenched they often fail to see reality.

Right manager at the right time for us.

Dropped AGAIN for absolutely f all..

If I were him I'd seriously be on to his agent trying everything to get him out this summer.

I wouldn’t wait till summer tbh, the writing is on the wall here. He should move on, get game time elsewhere and he would probably have a reasonable chance of getting in the Scotland World Cup squad.

22 people have got this dud down as MOTM on that match day thread.

I mean, 8 minutes on the pitch with two crosses; one deflected up to Keane by a defender and one cross that flew out of play = MOTM.

...but I have the 'agenda'.

for a start we looked more balanced, a couple of crosses that caused problems for their defence, yes one was under hit, because of positioning created space for others and gave Brighton something to think about.

Obrien over lapped once I think 🤔

Patterson was on for about 8 minutes
O'Brien swung a couple of good crosses in, which surprised me. He also created the goal with that cracking shot that Beto snapped up the rebound from.

O'Brien > the Dud all night and day.

Moyes will see that...and keep the back 4 as is or with Mykolenko taking Branthwaite's place - he's not that poor a manager.
