Positive post or are you suggesting a very low bar?Started showing what he can do, he can only get better.
Needs to put in a good performance (assuming he's fit and makes himself available for selection) on Monday night, it's the last match of Michael Keane's suspension and I suspect another "just about doing enough" showing from Patterson will see Moyes revert to his favoured back four of O'Brien, Tarkowski, Keane and Mykolenko for the next game.

His "ok form over the last month" has been to sit in during AFCON and injuries in a team set up with everyone behind the ball offering the opposition two banks of four to break down with maximum screening of the defence the priority. His ok form over the last month has probably been a major consideration in our reticence to get a right back this transfer window, that and the fact Coleman is fit again gives us 2 players for that position in an otherwise thin squad. If we get away with it remains to be seen, both players fitness records don't inspire confidence.
For Patterson it is vital he makes an impression,World Cup squad and a possible move in the summer means he will have to.....
Moyes will play him at left back. It'll be like the land of the giants.Branthwaite back in squad Monday as well

Thought we had tonnes of options and a near full squad available? His "ok form over the last month" has been to sit in during AFCON and injuries in a team set up with everyone behind the ball offering the opposition two banks of four to break down with maximum screening of the defence the priority.
That's unsustainable.
The thing about using words like 'unsustainable' to describe something that has worked is that as soon as we concede a goal you'll be able to say 'see, I told you so'His "ok form over the last month" has been to sit in during AFCON and injuries in a team set up with everyone behind the ball offering the opposition two banks of four to break down with maximum screening of the defence the priority.
