Overall I like him very much, and I thought he settled in well...but @MoutsGoat my halftime tag to you still worries me. There were so many moments where he hesitated in possession...especially in the first half. Can you go have a talk with him mate? Or has he got a restraining order against you yet?

Creswell. Was clearly being the instigator - mouthing off and reaching over to tap Besic in the face - but the ref was holding Besic back, probably because he could see in his eyes that Creswell would not be long for this world otherwise.

Remember that for next game 80 minute Besic will find him.He is better tackler then Barry , hes much much faster then Barry , hes got better pass then Barry and he can take ball out from our half witch Barry can't. I honestly do not remember not one Barry pass more then 3 yards that was good. And yet he plays full 90 every single game and Martinez will bench hes best signing for Barry.4 mill , there is few clubs banging their heads to miss him now.I can see him chalenging Fernando in City( who cost 30 ) or other players in PL , yet he cost 4 mill.Yes he had problem with possesion in first half , but i think Martinez ask him just to pass the ball , in second he was much much better.

He made some daft mistakes and got caught on the ball (although in that sense he was no different to Barry/Barkley/Jags...), but the rest of his play was superb. Easily our best midfielder yesterday.

Kev you are really anoying , he cost 4 mill , hes first season and hes already good enough to play . CM 22 years old, Play first 11 in National . FFS mate wtf u want from him. Barry , Jagelka and Distin are liability in everything .

He just needs a regular run of games to start ironing out a few of his rash passes etc. I think a full season next to Jimmy Mac would do him wonders and they could form the kind of steely wall our defence (or any defence) needs to start competing for European places again (let's be realistic - next season).

Personally I was a massive fan of his before he came and my mind hasn't been changed since. Easily the most passionate player in the squad; already looks like he'd take a bullet for his team mates and I'd like one day to see him be captain.

Besic is good,he should be starting all the time ATM regardless of who is fit.

I can only assume it was a nervy atmosphere, he really didnt want to make any mistakes, he wasnt as cool and calm as he normally is on the ball, he was still utterly amazeballs doh.

Its his 1st year and this is a big step up for him. That being said in the midfield and attacking end the ball there is no ball movement. He'd probably be more effective as a deeper lying midfielder but Barry is there right now.

He was excellent last night but once again when there is a tactical change being made, it's him being subbed off and not Barry.

He was on a booking and with us chasing the game he would have likely committed a couple more fouls being over eager to retrieve the ball and we could easily have been down to ten men.

He's also not disciplined enough to play the hold role yet and again with us chasing the game we needed a cool head to stay calm and not go charging around.

It was the right move by Martinez.

.....I reckon it's because Barry's role is specialist. Remember Fellaini playing it for a bit and him saying it's really difficult because you have to be disciplined to stay in a restricted area and not chase the ball. Cattermole said the same at Sunderland. Saying that, we don't look safe at the back so the shielding position isn't working but maybe there are other contributing factors.

I like Besic, mate of mine isn't convinced and compares him to Scott Parker.
