I am intrigued how a Besic McCarthy midfield would work. Sure they must have been there already, but cant recall it, but makes me slightly warm thinking about it.

At the Wolfsburg game I was happy they started together but then McCarthy injured early and Osman came in. IMO they played together well too, this lonely DM roles fits a little more to Besic I think. Maybe it's because it comes with more responsibility and he has to focus more. Him with Barkley was excellent, it was just the same as him and Pjanic at the WC. But I would really love to see a Besic-Barkley-McCarthy midfield trio. This should really bring warmth not just for You but to the opponents underwears...

....when he signed I said Besic and McCarthy could be like our very own Duracell Bunnies. Playing against them 2 in midfield would give anybody sleepless nights, every time you turn around one of them would be yapping at your ankles. White flag time.

There is no way that he will take Barry place now , Barry has contract for 3 years and exp. only really bad run of games can put Barry on beanch. I think Martinez is prepering Besic for next season .

I agree Barry is a really good player I just think mo is adapting well to the prem now and looks better each game

I really like him. He will be the enforcer for years to come. I do like Barry though as we are lucky to have him too.

He is a hell of a lot younger and can run faster than Barry.
