Given the run of games coming up I would play Naismith-Barkley-Besic again with McGeady coming in for Mirallas. It rewards those 3 for their performance and gives us a chance to really go at a Southampton team low on confidence. Plenty of games coming up for Barry to come back in and McCarthy as well when he is fit again soon.

I really think that was one of the most complete performances from an everton player this year. he needs to watch his tackling from the wrong side, but he must start Saturday. The worrying thing for his opponents is they know he is coming the second they try to settle on the ball. Well played MO

I didn't see any of this match, apart from the goals, so I am relying on the views of everyone else, but I am pleased to see him getting some genuine appreciation. He also looks to be getting into the team spirit with his celebrations.

Good on yer Mo.

Interesting, but this was a bit much:

As has been mentioned by others, maybe the biggest obstacle to his progression is actually his confidence? Nobody will ever forget the first touch he took in English football – the ludicrous back-heel against Chelsea which allowed Diego Costa to run through on goal – and that seemed to be emblematic of player who allows his self-belief to periodically run-away with itself.

Have never seen anyone truly great that lacked confidence. Better to start with confidence and learn humility or savvy than the other way around.

I think he is fantastic. Not the finished article yet but I love the way he goes and hunts the player with the ball and his tackling is hard but fair.
Him and McCarthy could form a brilliant engine room. I am hopheful that Ledson can bring similar qualities eventually too.
