The thing that galls me still (and why I dont understand any defence of him) is the memory of the way the feller could appear moved on a lap of Goodison at the end of that final season, and then a few weeks later do the equivalent of taking down his kecks and dump all over the club he'd been 'honoured' to manage.
He knows what he did. He's never addressed that stab in the back since it happened and that leads me to think he believes it was (and still is) ok to have done it.
If he ever grows a pair, clears his throat and makes an apology over that humiliation he tried to mete out then maybe there's a way for attitudes to change toward him. I dont see it happening though.
That's just football...bit like chowing at Rooney until the end of days because he kissed the badge and all that.
