Moyes 'The ungrateful irritant'

You lost me at "amazing".

Up to that point you were making a bit of sense.

He did a decent enough job for us.....but it wasn't "amazing".

Spot on. This 'amazing job' stuff was perpetuated by the media in order to justify how he was a valid successor to Fergie. The way some people talk, you'd think we were Tranmere before Moyes. Not that we'd been league champions 9 times and FA Cup winners 5 times.

I don't think we should all take it so seriously. Let's face it footy is a crock of sht these days. Insofar as it is the undeclared ambition of every one of our players and the manager to make the switch from here to OT. So before we grind Daveys face in the dust with Roberto's brilliance, we should bear in mind it just makes it more likely they will look our way again when they want a new manager

People who disagree with this fact hate hearing it and least of all from him and so will use it to paint him as some sort of big-headed fool, which, unfortunately for them, is largely incorrect.

He's saying he built a good team, but he's giving the players full credit for that.

How he should have to act like he left Martinez a sack of sh*te as a squad and RM is a genius for turning it all around is beyond me. He didn't. He left Martinez just about as good a foundation to build on as is possible for an Everton manager.

Bitter, bitter blues. Get over it and move on. If people really can't listen to him without looking for reasons to piss themselves off, I don't know why they bother.

And good players/teams don't need managing...right? Because he also suggested that. The man's a bellend

...sadly true

Who is this Utd tool?

Why is he talking about us? .... he never managed here.

(on the books I believe ... but never managed)

You guys are just making yourself look bitter, finding everything wrong with him.

He didn't say anything wrong enough for the outrage some people are feeling.
It is history, onwards and upwards, not need to dwell on him.

He did an amazing job for us and now we are in another stage and we should be glad we had him to change our team

Not thought out that lad, by responding you can't do the "need to dwell ...." thing.

By all means state your pro Moyes agenda and defend your position but don't play that particular card, it's just hypocrisy

Obviously worried about his legacy. Deep down he knows there are a great number of younger and better managers out there and that he won´t be at Utd for long. As soon as they get rid he´ll be past it and the next job he´ll be likely to get will be at the likes of Newcastle or Celtic.

Someone should ask him this: If Roberto Martinez had become the manager of Utd this summer, wouldn´t they have been a far stretch ahead of where Moyes has brought them this season?

He knows his days are counted.

I take it as a compliment really. Do you think Martinez needs to make comments about Wigan? Of course not, because he's doing well with us so doesn't need to try and boost his position.

Moyes is having a horrid start so is doing all he can to boost his position. If either he was doing well, or we were doing awfully he wouldn't say a word.

That under Martinez we're doing better than he is at United has him worried though, especially as a big part of his reputation whilst with us was built on his supposed miracle work getting us higher than we deserved to be. For someone to come in and quickly do better (albeit in a short period) kinda spoils that narrative.
