If we go one nil up. Nailed..."are you watching David Moyes"
"I'm not an emotional person," he said. "I'd rather get on with the game."
"United is my team now and all my concentration has been on them."
"I don't have time to look at Everton results or how they are doing. My own players and my own club is what interests me."
Nice one Moyes lad.
I doubt anyone will, but likewise my question would be why boo him when you can be chanting Bobbys name?
If anything I think that ignoring him and chanting for Martinez would annoy him far more than boo's.
I don't know if it's just me but I always felt the last few years of Moyes' tenure had a strained relationship with fans even in good moments. His first few years he was always so complimentary of our support and the effect it would have on the team, how it was what kept this club going etc. I always think back to that villa game in 06/07 maybe?? It was that sickener when young went up the other end to make it 3-2 in last minute. I dont remember the exact details but at 2-1 down he seemed to be getting grief over something then lescott equalised and he threw his coat off in this volatile action to the fans which at the time seemed passionate and vilified till seconds later...
I think these moments of frustration got more and more as the years went by and the club stagnated along with our play a lot of the time and I always felt the crowd reactions got under his skin a wee bit. If you look at his words from the last few years he speaks of his enormous respect for the players foremost, the chairman second and always mentions us the fans last. Maybe I'm just on one here but I genuinely believe over time he grew distant from us and his love/respect towards the club stemmed from the players and bill. I think this is why he's spoken with some disregard at times, because ultimately it doesnt wind up the players (they're not arsed) nor does it wind up his bezzie, bill. It hurts us and quite frankly I dont think he's that bothered.
I think what would get him more tomorrow would be to see a team of 'his players' turn up and outplay him for their new manager. I doubt very much whatever reception we give him means a jot to him.
I'm just gonna be happy to see him trudging back down into the rooms with his tail between his legs having witnessed Bobby being able to do, at first attempt, what he couldn't... Win at OT. That will make my day here in Australia tomorrow morning!
Small bit of the press conference

As RAWK would say, it's like you're going out with the fittest bird on the estate yet some of you still worry about the ex who was pretty average.
