Does that not worry you that we might sneak into europe with him and this squad + a couple of signings . It frightens the life out of me if you remember his performances with us in Europe .

Tbf he has actually won a Euro-pot since those days. I think it’ll hinge on how likely it appears that he can repeat that feat with us.

Why exactly do you believe national team management is inferior to club management?

I hear this a lot but its completely mystifying to me. I'd love for someone to logically unpack and roll out that argument.
Its not day to day working with players and everything that goes with it, it's more of a sit back with eyes on the game.
Possibly a way to reavaluate what you want in a coaching role.

They are a million miles apart in management, one of them you sit back and pick the best of what's available, one you're stuck behind financial, PSR constraints, having to appeal to players, International game, you appeal to every player in front of you.

You make your name in the league format.
You make your country's name in the international format.

Not sure what I am actually saying anymore.

2 different aspirations of a manager.
Club vs Country, no comparison..

What Moyes has in his favour is the squad is so depleted things should start getting better when players return.

It's so depressing watching the season disintegrate especially at home. And another poor cup exit.

There's got to be someone somewhere pushing this club further, better standards (on and off the pitch). Good intentions all round a year ago but we seem like we're back to being run like a shtshow again.

But at the end of the day it's all about coaching your way of playing to players.

Apart from listing what club managers do as opposed to what national managers dont do, Ilve yet to hear a convincing dismissal of national management credibility.

It's not like they're playing different codes.

Wanting Moyes gone is insane considering where we was before he came in. Yeah we are out the cups it’s January an that’s not good enough but when was the last time we all felt we wasn’t in a relegation fight in January. apart from this season first time I can be relaxed in years.
The two things are not inclusive ,we don't have to have out of cups to be safe ,a good manager will have us playing a better style and most importantly playing in a less predictable way ,every team knows how a "Moyes team " plays and has for many years the improvements made this year and there are some have been him stumbling into rather than being planned ,take when he put Beto and Barry on and they both scored ,as pointless as it was ,he would never play that formation willingly .

There is no point in getting rid of Moyes now but the goals this season must have been to win a cup and finish in the European places. And, it's the same targets next year. The cups have gone now it's down to finishing in the European places. Moyes has had money to spend - over £100 million on Alcaraz, Dibling, Barry, Travers and Dewsbury-Hall with Grealish and Rohl on loan cost ?????

Being one of the lowest scorers in the league indicates lack of goals but we've created chances, around the middle of teams creating chances (just below Villa) that have been missed. Villa have great finishers, the opposite of us, that is a striker or strikers, who can finish someone like Richarlison (maybe our money would have been better spent on getting him back). If we don't sign another striker in this transfer window and if the lack of finishing doesn't change with Beto and Barry, then Moyes needs to maybe put Ndiaye up top and play a quicker pass and move game. Unless, there's a dramatic change in our fortunes then this season just fizzles out. Which will be a shame considering we have some very talented footballers.

We’re not having the best run, but the results will improve when we get players returning from injury and the afcon. Sacking him now would be foolish, unless a manager like Unai is available to replace him right away. And thats not happening.

Look at the votes after a month back with full team available..
See if their is suddenly a big change.

I doubt it though.
So I would say re-evaluate at the end of season but don't put a Contract Extension on the table..

I do need to see fast flowing football.
I need my blood pumping, not constricting..

If there’s decent investment next summer would be a good time to part ways if the new manager is backed with players to suit their style. If we are continuing with a Frankenstein squad give him another season which is probably most likely?

It will depend on how we do for the rest of the season with hopefully a near full strength squad for most of it. Have a strong finish and finish in the top half and he will probably stay, if we fall away and end up with a similar points total to last year or lower, the Friedkins will probably be slightly disappointed.

Perhaps.. I have no detail on the reasons behind not playing this or that player, I assume we have “logical reasons” behind the decisions. I’d be interested to see some figures on success of signings and how they compare to other clubs.

Yes we need to make changes… Yes we need to react quicker..

All of these things would happen under any manager.. Facts are that Everton are for the first time in recent memory safe from relegation and in touching distance of a decent finish…This is actually very very good.

Moyes has excellent stats compared to ALL of our other managers in at least a decade.
But none of them were good ! Other than Carlo ,I hope you had just overlooked him .
He has better stats than every manager that has been relegated ever but that is just a fact that means nothing and has no relation to the state of the team he selects .He picks players like Dwight who trains well but when he has played this year he is mind numbing ,Alcaraz has played so many bad balls I fear he is not injured just being readied for sale ( that could be wishful thinking ) but he trains well ! Now we have seen Aznou who is not at all the finished article we can see there is life in the u21's but we all know Moyes would not have willingly played him .
