Excellent post, and without expletives.

Don't like to be controversial. But he lived relatively close to us , and I met him socially , a couple of times.
You couldn't meet a nicer , down to earth bloke.
Let's be honest , nobody in the history of football has kept a team competitive at the Premier league level , at the net spend level he had available to him. Ever ! Any counter arguments , I will be interested to see !

Lucky then that the club don't use Got as a manager barometer innit...
Odd comment.
Why is it an odd comment?
I don’t want a manager who has not beaten the top 4 away in his manager career, I don’t want a manager who tells his team when they go to old Trafford let’s try and get out of here a live.
Moyes made us best of the rest, when the rest were not very good, now he would put us mid to low part of the prem.
Moyes is not a winner.

It's an odd comment that probably 1% of match going regulars are posting on forums, my point was that you stated some of the fans posting on here are what's making the the club mediocre...its the board and playing staff that are to blame surely.

And Moyes didn't get us to the mid to low end of the table the subsequent duffs have...please don't change history.

Without a doubt it’s a he board to blame for the mess we our in, appointing Walsh Koeman Sam and jury is out on Silva, but I can’t believe some fans are even suggesting Moyes

This isn't quite right or fair though.

If any of the recent managers had came 17th in their second season they would have been gone. Conversely if any of the recent managers got 11 years to mould the team in his image they may have got the same (comparative) results as Moyes.

I don't really know why people compare managers anyway. They are all in totally different situations, different players, different opponents etc.

I had a bad day mate...I do agree with your other points...however I was one of the ones asking for Moyes to be given a shot. I actually have given it more thought, think I would rather leave Silva where he is for now. Let's be honest, we all tend to brick it when the team hits poor form..and switching managers quickly hasn't exactly worked the last 5 years...don't see why it would now.
Watched Pep chatting about his first season at City saying how tough it is to try to instill a brand in that time frame, said it's only now he is getting his tactics down. Perhaps we should give Silva this very poor year as a grace period ??

Pep has a track record of success. Marco has a track record of short term success, betrayal and failure!

Fair point Pap, no arguements from me.
It's also a fair point about timeframes, Moyes did have 11 years to build...and won zilch. Nah I'm up for keeping Silva, let him build...just don't see any other long term options that's worth another bloody project start up !!!.. What's this now ?? Our fourth project in 6 years ?? Not good ...not good at all.

Moyes still the only Man Utd manager to win a knockout game in the Champions League post-Fergie! Not bad considering he is up against Louis Van Gaal, Mourinho and, erm, OGS.
