Moyes: No EFC contract talks until after end of January

Long overdue for a change of manger, best for both parties, he can go and prove himself (or not) and we desperately need new impetus.

I'm not really arsed what happens any more. It's not like I can do anything about it. If he goes then I just hope we get a similarly astute bargain hunter with some guts to take the big teams on.

Intresting heard something about this but thought nothing of it till I saw this today.

2 things.....

No one should be arsed where Moyes will end up becuase when it happens (and it will one day) Everton will still need a new manager.

I want a new owner before I see a new manager at the club.

Maybe we'd win games and finish higher up the league if he stopped telling his centre backs to hoof the ball up to a striker being told to run the channels.

Amusing thread where the predicted shouts of he's doing it for a payrise have inevitably surfaced, despite that he's waiting till after the window so clearly waiting to see what we are going to do.. you can also tell this however from the way he says I am waiting till after the window to see what we are going to do, therefore putting the pressure on the board that his diss'ers have asked him to.
This however is just another conspircay to up his wages according to them...
What exactly is he meant to do or say? Would you be happy if he went in headbutted Kenwright in the face and handed in his resignation, of course you would? But is the only way he can prove himself worthy of being the manager by getting sacked?
Seems like it to me.
Personally I think 5th and putting pressure on the board for the few missing faces we need to challenge for 4th is pretty good.

Perhaps he should tell the strikers to score some goals and the defenders to stop letting them in.. I should be the next manager its easy.
Of course if we try to play our way out of trouble, get caught on the ball and concede a goal, the cries of he should 've just put his laces through it and cleared it would be heard all the way back to the Distin backpass thread last season.

More than one league in the world. He'd go abroad.

Can't think of too many British managers who go abroad. In my opinion he has done a great job but can't see too many foreign fans happy with "we appointed him because he finished 5th and 6th a few times".

As much as I admire Moyes for giving us some respect back and now building what looks like the best side he has put together here, I am too long in the tooth to really give a **** about holding out hope that we will ever challenge again for honours until either a. the rules change and clubs don't have such a ridiculously massive financial advantage over others, or b. we get bought out and money is pumped in to enable us to compete again.

It's all a sideshow to the reality of the game today.
