I'm fully aware that there are certain people who don't like Moyes.
But things are going to come to a head sooner rather than later.
Do we really need Moyes to go elsewhere and win stuff to prove that we had a very good manager in place, or can't people accept that right now, after he's had nearly 11 years in the job? Yeah, he's won NOTHING. Who else could have won something during that time for us, under the restrictions that Moyes has worked under? He's also had one of the lowest net spends in the Premier League during that time, and has had to sell one of his better players on no less than 3 occasions (Rooney, Lescott, Arteta), and that's before you consider selling the likes of Johnson and Rodwell, who in an ideal world he'd probably have kept.
Moyes is far from without faults. For many years he has been negative, safety first, and his use of substitutions and tactical awareness have been debatable on many occasions. However, the root cause of most of that has been him cutting his cloth accordingly, due to the club's financial position. He has managed a certain way out of necessity rather than out of choice. We've seen this season, when he has finally had a bit of leeway to do to some transfer business and bring players in to build a side, that we are playing our best football in years (well, up to a few weeks ago anyway!) and as a result, we have been up near the top. Cliche #1: Imagine what Moyes could do with money! Therefore, it's clearly the board that needs to pull their finger out.
