Moshiri

I think on that occasion Moshiri was acutely aware of how unlikely a deal would be to actually get approved so was more than happy to string them along saddling the club with high interest loans so he didn't have to pay

Even if it was some crazy Machiavellian plot that he was scheming, he was literally playing Russian roulette with the football club’s future, gambling on the chance that approval was gonna be rejected. If Masters had turned around and said yes, they would’ve been our owners. Moshiri wouldn’t have pulled the plug on it in our best interests.

Again, I think that's quite revisionist. Plus the last part is another byproduct of his incompetence.

While I have many issues with Moshiri we all knew he was a lap dog to a Russian Oligarch who moved from Arsenal to Everton for ego. But the real issue of Moshiri was that Kenwright was willing to accept anyone to keep control of Everton. Remember that lovable rogue Philip Green and Samuelson to the Tesco Flat pack stadium in Kirkby, and losing the Kings Dock because he couldn't give it up not to mention multiple players he sold to keep him in place. We can point to Moshiri and 777 but the symptom was Kenwright and Moshiri at least did something positive, Kenwright did nothing that wasn't for his own benefit.

WHY are people still turning this into a Moshiri v Kenwright thing? It was never that, it’s not “if you hate Moshiri you must be excusing Kenwright” or vice versa, drives me round the bend this argument. “Kenwright was this and Kenwright didn’t do that” is not a valid defence of Moshiri. They were on the same team, working alongside each other to ruin this club.

I have no love for Moshiri but he was never a self confessed Evertonian. But this sickness that has been at this club was here a long time before Moshiri.

I'm not saying it was a good plan or defending him. I just think Little Dickie Masters set his stall out early that 777 stood virtually no chance of ever taking over. And that Moshiri and Usmanov did probably string them along as they've been known to do to minimise how much money they had to put in. Everyone else in the world knew the deal was dead in the water for months and months.

By no means am I suggesting it was all an elaborate plan from the off, they just so happened to stumble across the only bigger idiots in football who kept handing him money. He absolutely did not care about us during that time - nor now.

Nice to see he’s “checked back in” at least, after not wanting to know for the last 3 years of his stewardship.

He should be allowed to attend a game at BMD to be pelted with bottles of piss.

Mike, can you clarify if this is to be bottles of piss with the top off and therefore getting piss on other innocent bystanders or is it to be with the top on and therefore the piss is irrelevant really? What’s the plan here

Me too - if he wasn't mage rich he would've been cancelled for that.
I maintain to this day, his then agent Riaola was behind that and actually said as much to Moshiri as he’d run out of rational reasons not to sign.

1) it’s just too random, even for a head the ball like Moshiri.
2) Lukaku made noises about legal action but that then went quiet. 🤔
3) Ibrahimovic who had the same agent, took the p out of him about it when they were in Italy. Why would he know anything about it 🤷🏻‍♂️

I’ll try to find the interview but I’m 90% sure Mosh attributed it to his agent told him.
Edit - here’s a starter but hasn’t got the full comment, only the inflammatory bit.
I’m sure I heard an interview where the meeting and ‘call to his mum’ was relayed to him by Raiola

The first one. People around will be given a 5 minute warning to move away which they are free to take heed or ignore.
